Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Moonshadow replied to stevethemanjordan's topic in Melbourne Demons
Pedo will be 31 by start of next year. I like the guy a lot and want him to hold his spot for a long as possible, but he will struggle to get a game beyond next year, possibly end of this year. Weed will need to have a big preseason and come on next year or we'll look elsewhere for another kpf. Having said that, Reid from Sydney might be in our sights soon. -

Thought you were going to shut up about Oscar and let others decide? Not only are you a contrarian picket but you can't keep your promises. Oscar improved as the season progressed last year and he improved on the weekend as the game progressed. He makes some clangers which stand out, as do most on our team, but he is tracking well for his age, position and size. With another couple of preseason, 4-6kg of muscle and around 40 games, I believe he will become integral to our structure.

Buy a GA ticket. If you are there about 30 min before, walk around level 1 on west side, find an aisle without an attendant and walk down to the seat of your choice. Though you run the risk of being found out because you are the only Demon fan amongst a sea of doggies. However, I don't like ground level at Darklands because I reckon the curve of the ground towards the centre makes it hard to watch anything beyond half way. I'd rather put up with lev 3.

At the time Brayshaw was better at 3 than Lever. We have what we wanted. I'm running with that. -
Refreshing to have a new face on the tv with good footy knowledge and speaks in a plain manner. One of the few to understand match coverage is about the game and not for promoting themself as a pathetic celebrity
-
He re-signed. They have Schache and Hipworth as kpf's
-
If he were 26 and passed a very thorough medical (with the Richmond doctor) I'd say maybe, but on average coin. At 31 next year, it's a no effing way!

Summarises your life Biff

Noooooooo!!!! Pending 'extreme vetting' I'd take Reid. Worried his body can't keep up though

I think they investigated the note printing bribery allegations of 2011(?). A number of good articles there iirc.

Demonland Podcast will return for the Draft

We can only hope. Imagine that with the athleticism and leap of his old man -
Great collection ash35. But also a reminder of some talent that for whatever reason, burnt out too quickly. Jako, Charles, Jurrah

Excuse being facetious, but it's also true that if Gus grew his hair long and then got a permed afro it may also reduce just a tiny bit of concussion. Anything may. If the advice was that helmets have been proven to reduce concussion, the afl would make them compulsory for all.
-
Motorbike helmet is not the same as sports helmet. The analogy isn't apples with apples. A number of years ago I came off my pushbike, cracked my head on a signpost splitting the helmet open and received concussion. Sure, I may have died without the helmet, but it didn't stop the concussion. It's just anecdotal evidence. My understanding is that brain specialists all tend to agree about sports helmets preventing cuts, bruises and possible fractures but doing SFA to prevent concussion, apart from wearer confidence (which as others have pointed out can also work in reverse).

Too right it is. Fortunately I haven't had to clean up after you or Uncle Bitters. The Union wouldn't put up with that

Where's Max's left hand Ethan?

Tough one for tipsters. Don't think we'll make the finals without a run of wins, 3 in a row would help.

I crossed paths with AVB at the toilets at Tulla Airport today. The good news: no limp, foot must be good. The bad news: not naturally gifted, got him well and truly covered.

Big boy McEvoy in the ruck! Lol!
