Wise, every club has very good players in contract that could still be traded. 'Actually available' is is a bit of a furphy. Technically, Hogan is contracted and not 'actually available', but here we are, discussing it! And it's worth noting that Hogan is not ready made, he still has major deficiencies that are currently preventing him from reaching near his peak. But the potential is certainly there. As I've said, I'd like to retain him and work on things he can improve, but in a year's time if his contract expires without re-signing, that may be moot. Look, just because Hogan is a young, key forward kicking 47 goals doesn't mean we can't have a reasonable conversation about his worth to the team and his value on the open market, especially given the yearly rumours. It's tiresome reading some posters outrage, belittling and name calling when these types of discussions arise. And yes, I know I'm no angel. ?

And if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle. Playing injured us no excuse once the white line is crossed. If injured, rest him and play someone else. Clearly I'm not as wedded to keeping Hogan as some on here. I'd prefer to retain him, but if the price is right and he is having 2nd thoughts, let's do it. For this season, I'm more worried about the long bombs i50 and our inability to convert set shots.

I'd say Gawn and Clarry are the only two untouchables ATM. I'd rather keep Hogan, but if he was thinking twice about his future at the Dees and we could extract Cerra (or similar) and a good pick out of Freo, then why the hell not?

SWYL, I think it's you who should be ashamed and apologise for your unfounded outrage and fake news pedalling. IDee, I think the annual-ish lesson you should have learnt is to avoid the patronising coach quotes and maths explanations that aren't proven. Gloat finished.

Of course Gaff should feel grateful if they forgave him, that's part of offering a sincere apology and (hopefully) recieving forgiveness. Andrew Brayshaw is clearly the victim and no one condones what happened to him, but let's not forget that Gaff is suffering too and extremely remorseful. His presser after the verdict is evidence of this. I would hope in time Gus could forgive Gaff and get on with footy, with or without him in his team. He's a strong character, I think he will, would be saddened if he didn't.

More hyperbole. No one said what Gaff did means nothing or that Gus and his family won't be considered and consulted. But these are professionals who will work together and with time, will get on with footy . I'd be disappointed if Gaff wanted to be a Dee and Gus refused to accept his apology and didnt move on from it.

Check out Mickey's link below my last post above. Andrew Brayshaw's dad even wants Gaff to be forgiven. If Gaff comes to MFC, he will work it out amicably with Gus and his brothers.

Maybe you should have a think.... He will not go or stay at a club based upon a where the Brayshaws play. These guys are professionals. They'll have a coffee or a beer together and work past it. Nate Jones said as much today. Gaff may go to Norf, but it won't be based upon avoiding the Brayshaw brothers.

So he should've got off with the regular folk, but he's not regular folk so should be last off? There's more to getting through an airport than just the gate. As a disabled traveller you would know that. The media crush along the concourse, past the security points, along retail outlets could easily have become a safety issue. I'd say the airport did a risk assessment and concluded it would be better if Gaff did not go through the gate. They may also not want ugly airport images in the press to impact their reputation Anyway, moot point now. We disagree.

Do regular folk have a pack of media following them ready to push and shove??? Poor analogy. If I was a fellow passenger on that flight I'd be grateful that disruption at the gate was avoided.
