  1. Apologies-- posted this in the other thread without realizing a thread for today's training had opened. Could anybody that attends please give an update on Kent and McKenzie? Thanks in advance!
  2. Would also love to hear about Kent and McKenzie. Have barely heard a thing about either all preseason.
  3. This doesn't count for much...if he decides to leave Freo it will be for money, and he will go to whoever offers him the most. I reckon that if we lose Frawley it will set us back a few years...full backs of his calibre don't grow on trees; I don't remember the last one the Dees had before him. Resigning him is a MUST.
  4. I'll put my money on Brazil winning the WC up home. I'd be very happy to see the Socceroos even register a goal going on current form and the opposition.
  5. You mean one fantastic season then eternal injuries/poor form? Speaking of which, how's Jamar going? Haven't heard much about him all pre-season. Same for Kent/McKenzie? Thanks to everyone for the training reports, they're much appreciated.
  6. Georgiou looks like he might have eaten Gysberts...he's about twice his size. Not too many skinny kids on our list anymore, based on those pictures; we're finally starting to look like a proper team.
  7. From ~ post #30 onwards, I understand very little of what is going on in this thread...
  8. Michie isn't eligible for the rising star next year as he will be 22 before round one. By all accounts though, he is training well and will be in contention for the 22 from the word "go".
  9. The Dees that are eligible for the 2014 Rising Star are Hogan (14), Barry (101), Salem (41), Kennedy-Harris (101), Hunt (101), Harmes (101) and King (101). Hogan seems the only one that would be worth putting any money on. For the record, if you do plan on putting money on him, do it through TAB, they're offering $17 compared to Sportsbet's $14.
  10. I doubt Martin will win it, I think he will start strongly and then fade out as the season progresses...he still has the body of a child. It will go to a tall next year, IMO. One of Boyd, Stringer, Hogan, Grundy will win. I'd put my money on Grundy...the media loves him, and he'll be the #1 ruckman at Collingwood all season.
  11. According to the AFL website he didn't even nominate for the draft. Does anybody know if he has thrown in the towel for good?
  12. 40k would be a great accomplishment given the performances that we've put out in the past few years.
  13. I'd be content with 6 wins and no more embarrassing performances. While I predict we'll finish somewhere from 10-14, I really think that with a good run with injuries and a bit of luck, the top 8 isn't such a ridiculous proposition. I hope that the players don't put a limit on their expectations, and that they can draw inspiration from clubs like Port Adelaide of 2013 and Adelaide of 2012.
  14. FB: Garland, Frawley, Terlich HB: Grimes, McDonald, Dunn C: Cross, Tyson, Watts HF: Howe, Dawes, Vince FF: Hogan, Clark, Kennedy-Harris FOLL: Gawn, Viney, N. Jones INT: Salem, Toumpas, Trengove SUB: Evans Unlucky: Michie, Blease, Fitzpatrick, Kent, Clisby, McKenzie
  15. I can distinctly remember Grigg dominating games against us.
  16. Some great, some incredibly poor. It's amazing that the likes of the Herald Sun crew + Caro can get a gig when there's great writers like Boyle, Flanagan and Quayle going around.
  17. From what I've seen, I'm a big fan of this. He should have an impact pretty early on next season; he will be busy at the feet of our tall forwards from 2014 onwards.
  18. As nice as it would be, Wines will not leave Port Adelaide next year.
  19. No thank you...not what we're looking for.
