I think C & B was trying to say that since Sylvia was not going to be playing regardless of his injury, the selectors will be picking from what essentially are all players that deserve a shot at Round 1. I.E. None out of a fully fit Cook, Evans, Gawn, Spencer, Taggert and Jetta would be in our best 22 players, and at this stage it appears Jurrah isn't either.

Gotta love Robbo. I loved Neeld's comments about Robbo always looking to take the MOTY...too accurate. Neeld also clearly has high hopes for Magner and Howe this year. Howe is the early frontrunner for coach's award, one would think.

I'm a big U2 fan, but don't think that they'd do a good version of our great song. I love the idea of wearing green for the Round 4 match though.

I wouldn't be surprised. IMO he was very good against Collingwood. Not in my personal best 22, but not too far off it either.

My Dad will be returning from a trip next week and I'll be encouraging him to sign up as well. Hopefully with the number of people signing up at Round 1 we will be able to shoot over 30 000 by next week.

What's the scoop on Evans? How did he do his back? He had a promising debut but seems to have faded from the picture since then, especially with the progression of other rookies such as Nicholson, Couch and Magner. Gotta feel for Strauss. I'm looking forward to seeing him back on the MCG soon.

I think that Neeld is well aware of all this and we will be seeing a new attitude over the coming years.

Sounds like Watts showed some hunger and wants to play Round 1. I'm excited to see what he does against the Lions.

If Jordie is fit then he's the tagger. If not, why not give Bartram a go and see how it pans out. I don't want to see Nicholson in the backline though. His disposal is much worse than Bartram's, and that's saying something.

I'm looking forward to hearing about Lawrence...haven't heard much of his during the preseason. Also be interesting to see how Watts does at CHF, as well as Tapscott in the guts. I'm hoping to see both of these guys play well and earn a spot for Round 1 against the Lions.
