  1. Hey FNQ, brilliant detailed report thank you. Where in FNQ are you?
  2. The Rhino?
  3. The Grgic?
  4. If we are combining romanticism and religion can we include 2 with 31. For different reasons it is worth as much
  5. He may sort himself out, he may prove to be a top 10 pick after all, but not at the MFC. Wrong time, wrong coach, wrong club
  6. I don't think Wines will ever play for us either but not because we overlooked him. Most players will know their place in the pecking order and who is better than who. I'm guessing Ollie never thought we would take him if Toumpas was still available
  7. How good is it to hear a Grand Old Flag sung after a premiership win. Lets hope Dean gets to sing it again at his new club
  8. Do you know why he was delisted Deevoted? As others have said he seemed to have a number a good attributes
  9. I'm with you here Ron. I reckon we will see a much harder edged Melbourne side from Round 1
  10. Forgetting about Jacks" football ability for a moment, it is a fair test of his character having to endure years of unfavourable media scrutiny, derision from opposition supporters, satirical websites being made about him and even his own supporters regularly having a go. He has carried himself well in public and has improved steadily on the field. He needed to improve his tank and has done so, his marking has improved and there is no better field kick at Melbourne He will continue to improve and build. The game is favouring taller, faster and fitter players and as players like Goodes and O'keefe have revolutionised their positions I believe Jack will do so as well.
  11. It could be an interesting conversation on the Melbourne draft table if they rate Grundy say a clear 2nd pick but he is still available after the GWS trifecta. I would say Grundy fulfils Viney's 4 pillars - highly competitive, talent, physical attributes and could well be a solid citizen for all I know No doubt they have already worked through this scenario, but do you give up (hypothetically) the 2nd best player in order to fill a pressing need? Ps Just realised NoMoreMrNiceGuy posted a similar scenario previously
  12. I want Okeefe. Apparently bit of a wild one
  13. Yep, love your signature too and I can't wait
  14. When he was on the footy field at least you know he would always give 100% which was more than could be said of some of his team mates Interesting the article says "He later described the weight gain process as the most difficult thing he had endured." He should have given me a call, I have weight gain completely sussed
  15. Troy Davis would be a nervous man at the moment
  16. I don't understand how next years draft can be "X 4" better than this one. Does that mean there are 4 Lachie Whitfields or the depth runs to the 40's instead of a top ten?
  17. Great analogy Philthy but I think Col has disappointed more than that. She is the hottest girl, the best dancer, has a naughty streak that promises good times and she says yes to going to the dance. Then, on the night, she doesn't turn up and you are stuck dateless and with the limo bill.
  18. Thanks MB38, as an interstater these training reports are brilliant and much appreciated Question. Any ideas on how Fitzpatricks recovery is going? He is my pick for new gumby cult hero next year now that Martyn has moved north and want him back on the track sooner rather than later.
  19. Move over Deemachine, I'm jumping on your bandwagon even if we may be a bit lonely I admit I am a Neeld believer, the bloke has a plan and has the resources both in terms of facilities and of the human kind. If, and it is a big if, we can win a couple of early games the players may start to believe. Confidence is a huge thing and if they follow the game plan and have success then it can snowball. We also need some luck, something that has been in short supply of late; luck with injuries, a lucky bounce can change matches and change mind sets Anyway here's hoping
  20. You have to give it to Magner. The guy doesn't look like any sort of runner with those short, chunky legs but he is showing a lot of the other guys how to do it. However long his football career is, when it is over he will be one Melbourne player who will be able to say he gave it his absolute best shot.
  21. Good on you Brad. What a great learning experience, hopefully will see you back in the red and blue one day along with Junior
  22. Not football related but when Elton John married David Furnish one of the English tabloids ran with "Elton takes David up the aisle"
  23. Neeld won't die wondering and as 'Undeetered' alluded to when we do make it to Finals football would you rather have Dawes, Byrnes and Viney or Martyn, Morton and Gysberts. Which group is more likely to stand up when the heat is on?
  24. In my late teens a friend "changed teams", 25 years later he is still he is still viewed as not a proper supporter What happens if the Tigers do something you don't approve of? Bulldogs perhaps? How can you change teams after 50+ years of barracking for them anyway? Surely the Club is embedded into your soul. Give the game away or wait and watch us improve and then get back on but don't change. You will regret it very much
