  1. Toby Bedford is quite good at playing football
  2. Strangely the run home looks a bit easier now
  3. And it would have been handy if we had of played May but, no, we had to shoot ourselves in the foot for the sake of our ‘culture’.
  4. We didn’t have to suspend him. We have done this to ourselves.
  5. Such a dumb decision to suspend him.
  6. FarNorthernD replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Our goal accuracy is a reflection on our game plan of kicking into the pockets. It makes it more difficult for the opposition to get the ball out but gives us more shots from tighter angles.
  7. Considering the whinging about the Melb/Syd crowd size it will be interesting to see how many Rich/Port draw tonight
  8. How? There was no other way punish him? None?
  9. I’m sure the Pies are going to be stoked that our culture precludes Steven from playing on QB. So dumb.
  10. Seems like a lovely bloke
  11. Freos Sam Switkowski has been sent to the tribunal for a chicken wing tackle. I have never heard of him till yesterday. So is Sam Switkowski any good and how happy are we if he misses next week?
  12. I think he means 148 points
  13. Surprised no one has mentioned Spargo. Thought he had one of his best games last night and has taken his game to a new level this year.
  14. Don’t think Lloyd was saying that at all. He just wanted them to be more like us
  15. He also has the second most winningest record of current day AFL players (over 50 games) at 72.79%.
  16. Titus’s take on the game sums it up perfectly West Coast (38) v Melbourne (112) Expansion team West Coast continue to struggle this season but there were some promising signs as they only suffered their biggest loss to Melbourne in their history. The Demons scored 41 points in the first quarter, meaning they didn’t have to score again, and they still would have won the game. That’s almost what they did, as the Eagles lifted their intensity and managed to drag the Demons down to their level for long periods of the match. Melbourne though are like a boxer who tried to win on points, not knockouts. They do enough to make sure they don’t lose. They can score, but they prefer to let their opponent wear themselves out. The result of this approach is 16 wins on the trot, a feat I still struggle to comprehend. I’ve gone decades where it felt like we only won sixteen games. The thing about sport is you must enjoy the good times because we all know, the bad times are not exactly rare.
  17. I know we would be a different side without Petracca or Oliver but is there a team more reliant on one player than Richmond is on Dusty?
  18. I had not thought of that scenario, it makes a fair bit of sense
  19. It is so, so wonderfully predictable watching opposition teams try to rebound out of our forward line. They get to our half forward and then go sideways or back. You know for a fact they are now stuffed as we have had time to get organised behind the ball. They foof around but it is just a matter of time before: A). They kick it down the line where one of our talls marks it or it gets hit out of bounds or less likely B). They are ‘daring’ and go to the corridor where the ball gets intercepted or ends in a ball up. Either way they lose possession. I keep promising myself not to take all this for granted
  20. Given he is unlikely to make it as a forward is there and chance the 24yo, 197cm Sam Weideman could make it as a tall back? He is with us till at least the end of 2023.
  21. Salem back to the mens club Brayshaw back to the wingers club Jordon back to the 23 club
  22. I would love to see Robbie play the wing in our current team. He would fit in seamlessly
  23. Laurie getting named is probably an encouragement award
  24. I’ll look for the highlights package of this game just to watch Essendon have goals kicked against them
  25. If we can now bring Junior back into the fold our club will be properly reunited.
