Most of you have interest in 2 games a week - to watch Melbourne win and hope Freo lose. I hate Essendon enough that I’d rather Freo won if it guaranteed an Essendon loss. The rancid cherry on the top is my utter contempt for Jake Stringer.

I watched most of the match. There was obviously a huge gulf between the two sides. In this cast the stats don’t lie, Megan Fitzsimmons was clear BOG. Assume she will play predominantly forward this year. Goldie was a cut above as well

I thought the standard of the game was akin to the AFLW in the first couple of seasons; skill and fitness levels weren’t quite there aside from a couple of exceptions. Heath and Goldie were clearly a class above. Of the VFLW players I thought #16 Woolcock, #11 Lehman and (I think) #6 Kirkwood were good Like you Dees_In_October, I was trying to work out who was who. You definitely did better than me. Where did you get the stats from?

I’ve only read the last 3 pages of this thread but I think you are all being pretty bloody harsh. I thought it was a really good game with some great skills. I don’t watch many non Melbourne games but thought that was a ripper

We were at 26,751 members this time in 2013. At 52,738 we are literally twice the club now to what we were then. And whilst the season still hasn’t even started, we have already passed our FINAL membership tally of every year of our existence aside from 2021 and ‘22.

They lost me at “With exceptional ball users in Petracca, Oliver, Viney, Angus Brayshaw” without mentioning Bowey. The problem with most footy commentators is they don’t know as much about each team players as that’s team’s supporters, particularly the passionate ones who would inhabit places such as this.
