  1. Love the site, feel guilty I haven't signed up before so just treated myself to a lifetime subscription today. Cheers Demonland
  2. I just saw a highlights package on Facebook of Pendles game on the weekend. Now I can't stand the pies but I find myself man crushing on Pendles every time I watch him play. The way he handballs in traffic is exactly the same as a Pendles. Both handball more than kick being extractors but both are great kicks of the pill when need be. Hopefully he will reach the highs or go further than Scott which is about as good as praise as I can give. Even though he buggered off to Shepp when he was young I'm still claiming him as a local Echuca lad. luvya Clarry you magnificent looking bastard xo
  3. I don't disagree PF but isn't White just as slow as Trenners? Can't remember much of him, just thought he was slow. The only in I want to see is Kent. He brings a big leg, some pace and agro. Haven't seen the VFL report but hoping he went well. Not sure who's out but I struggle with JKH so most likely him
  4. I loved that Bernard finally went back into the midfield today and got a couple quick clearances. Can we please leave him there and never have him back again!! He uses his massive leg from the centre circle to full forward with minimal fuss as a weapon instead of turning the pill over continually down back. T Mac had a shocker today with his kicking, I was almost laughing at the end it was that bad. Then he spoils Nevs 'mark of the year' attempt!! Keep it simple Tommy. Tyson I thought looked better than previous but I'm still concerned by his kicking. Is definitely lacking confidence. Finally, JKH. What is the go with him over Kent?? Very ordinary player
  5. 6. Viney. Might be unexpected but he dominated the third quarter today when I thought we were cooked at half time. We needed someone to lift in the third. He did and it's the quarter we won the game. 5. Pedo. I'm a massive fan, always have been. Can't decide if he really was that great today or was i watching him through my rose coloured glasses. Still, screw it. Have 5 Cam you legend you. 4. Watts. Kicked goals when we needed and always damaging in the play. Three majors I think well was just a nice return. 3. Trac. Brute of a man. Loves a sausage roll. Plays bigger than he needs to as well. We needed someone to kick goals today and I was worried who. This man took it upon himself. 2. Oliver. I'd give him more if he started kicking the pill more. He's a beautiful kick so not sure his desire to handball all the time. Geez I love him in the hard stuff however. 1. Hibberd. Hard and skilled in the backline whos very damaging. Please start taking the kick ins!! Please
  6. I'm just going to go ahead and say it. Brownlow. Lock it in
  7. Sorry Clint, didn't explain myself very well. He only had one arm up to last week or so of preseason
  8. I admit I wrote him off and was surprised we rookied him. Couldnt be happier to see him raise the bat, especially in a solid win. Love him as a player, no fuss, hard at the pill and always team first. Would have had mark of the round if it wasn't for T Mac spoiling him. Poor bastard couldn't do anything write today!!
  9. I can understand why he started in the twos and if we are full strength may find himself around the 23rd player picked each week. But, the last three weeks of him not playing I think could have cost at least 8pts. Definitely should have been in each week imo. Well done Cam, was a solid game and wasn't far away from snagging 3 majors
  10. Bring back Juice!! But in all seriousness, you can't write off the Weed in his second season. I'm comparing him to Darcy Moore when watching himstruggle as the key forward. Both these boys are stil too young and under developed to take on the number one defender. They are made to look silly when trying to also. Im sure there will be nothing wrong with the Weed long term but I'd much rather him lining up next to Hogan or worst case Pedo than being the key man solely
  11. I agree the Crows are looking good but there isn't much midfield depth on the big stage. GWS still have Deledio, Whitfield, Griffen and Coniglio to come in soon. Plus the combo of Lobb/Patton/Cameron gets better each game they play together. I worry how beatable they will be later this year and for the next couple edit: forgot Whitfield
  12. I'm not a fan at all to be honest. His tackles are more of jumper grabs of u14 footy rather than killing the play and burying an opponent. I fail really to see what he brings
  13. Please..... no......
  14. I get that WB but I struggle mainly with the JKH call up. I really struggle to see what he brings. Especially when it's going to be slightly wet
  15. Never been a fan of JKH, comes across at times scared of his own shadow. Tried a couple flashy things tonight that failed, looked slow, added minimal pressure and can't stick a tackle to save himself. I thought his VFL game last week was similarly average. I don't what ' The Kent' has done but he adds a lot more value than JKH. Also.... massive shame about Smith and very unlucky but can't help but think if Pedo played we would have been more physical in the guts and stopped a few simple clearances. Really think our selections didn't help this week
  16. I'm all for using stats 'Tappy' to back a solid argument but the issue I have here is that Melkshams possessions are all in wide open spaces and he is missing targets the players at his level shouldn't. The majority are uncontested. Its the same argument when people talk of T Macs efficiency being high. So it should be when he is streaming out of defence trying to hit someone 30m away. You can't compare in and under mids (Tyson, Jones etc) with back flankers imo. Btw, I'm not calling for Melksham or T Mac to be dropped but I do get frustrated at them (along with Vince) with there constant uncontested turn overs
  17. Very surprised at a couple of things also this year. The JKH selection after watching the game last weekend. Thought he was very underwhelming. If they wanted a similar role player I would have given it to Ben K who looked a lot more agressive and dangerous. Also, if im picking a Tim Smith or Bugg I'd be giving them at least two weeks to show there worth unless one came in for a b/22 players who was out for one week. Its so important for continuity in your game and these 'week in week out' scenarios are ordinary imo
  18. I'm a fan of Cam, developed a soft spot for him when I read an article about him being a rookie and working part time at Bunnings to make ends meet. I thought I'd never give him a second chance after the ducking incident vs the power way back when but after his first year he always is putting his body on the line and either getting crunched or crunching others. He slimmed down a lot over the offseason and is clearly covering more yards and if he stays in the best in the VFL then I'd like to see him get another chance. Im not fussed if he isn't in the team however as I really just want the best 22 out there each week. If the coaches don't think it's him as he isn't meeting certain metrics then fine. I just wonder what these metrics are however as although he's no world beater, I think he deserves a chance over Smith this week and would have definitely helped vs the Cats and Freo. I really hope the football department doesn't put lines through players they no longer think will make it and pick accordingly week to week
  19. They are nowhere near as bad as we were a few coaches back at least they have a couple players who can play the game. I don't think there future will be awful but they will need so complete some cracking trades/drafting recruiting Cripps, Murph, Gibbs and Docherty all need to be there a long time. They need Simpson to play forever and as an outsider hbf. I love Weitering, think Marchbank, Plowman, Silvagni, Petrovski-Seaton and Curnow will be players. What they are desperate more than anything for is: FF: Garlett. Kennedy. Betts
  20. Yeah definitely agree Old. He doesn't have a lot of different tricks in his armoury but the ones he owns (aggressive inside mid) he's on par with some very good players in the comp. Anyway he's still so young and I don't mind him learning a new skill set (whether they are run with roles or as a bit more of an outside receiver) so we have a better balance and allow greater rotations going forward. I don't mind him going the hard tag, he's done a couple jobs in the past and has been ok. I'd rather Vince in that role however as he seems to only hurt the opponent but hurt them on the scoreboard
  21. He's been playing a couple different roles from what I can see this year. Pretty sure he ran with Neale a bit on Sat and was he manned up on Selwood last week (I was there but pretty full so struggling to remember) Also, Clarry seems to be the extractor this season which was Vineys bread and butter last year. In my opinion he's just warming up and will be back to his best soon
  22. I'd like to see Hogan and Hibberd in with Weid and Hannan out. The tigs really only have two talls in the backline in Rance and Astbury so I wouldn't be against Pedo coming in but don't think he will. I think our forward line is dangerous enough with Trac, Kent, Jeffy, Hoges and Watts/Spencer loitering. Also Hibberd in should release Vince up the ground who can hopefully snag one or two. He needs to be freshened up so it would be good to give him some action upfield. I'd keep Melksham in as there backline is quick and we will need some dash back there however he's on extremely thin ice. Id like to see Bugg straight to Cotchin and Viney to hold Dusty in the midfield. Backing Jones, Vince and Tyson against the Caddys and Prestias in the world
  23. All these highlights is making me think of slapping a pineapple on Cam for the Charlie!
  24. I'm not saying Pedo is really a higher standard than VFL but watching him here he is clearly a better option than the Weed.... for now
  25. Number 1. Is that Hutchins?
