Seeing as Nicholson was the only one announced as coming in for their debut, maybe Strauss could be the other inclusion? If it was Howe or Blease i'm sure they would've announced it along with Nicholson.

The big things we did last year were *almost* rolling Collingwood (twice, the loss was the umpires fault), the Doggies (again umpires, the pink shirt debacle) and Freo in Freo. Unfortunately, we also lost to West Coast at home when they were tanking... I would wait for the next 3 weeks to pass to ask this question that this thread is posing. The only decent sides we have played so far this year are Hawthorn (and they weren't playing great at the time) and West Coast, but that was more our fault for the loss than them being good. After playing Carlton, Essendon and Collingwood (two friday night games!! and QUEENS BIRTHDAY!) we will know a LOT more about our side. Also, injuries are no excuse, but i seriously think the games against NM and particularly StKilda could've been won if we had Trengove/Scully/Jamar/Grimes/Garland. There would be very different thought about the club if those wins had occured.

it literally takes seconds to write a tweet. do you think they're jumping out of practice sessions to jump on Twitter? no, they're doing it in their free time when they wouldn't be doing much else. how about us fans get banned from using online forums because all the negativity effects our gameday cheering? the players are humans just like the rest of us and should be treated that way.

Just watching the game delayed on TV now. Around 4.45 left in the first quarter, Watts puts on the speed and slips between two Saints players closing in. Other players (especially at his height) wouldn't have been able to do that. Love it !

Evans and Watts - great great great. The Tapscott injury and sub is gonna hurt - Bate on for Newton would've been absolutely perfect...

Pretty good effort to get a senior game in Round 9 off the rookie list, even if it was a lot to do with our injuries and suspensions. If you include the rookie upgrades in the draft, and all the 17yos that GC took away, you could say that he was like pick 150~ last year. A lot of rookies and high draftees never even get a game, let alone in their first year.

Garlo, Grimes, Rivers and Bail are all no strangers to the injury list. It sucks, some players just have no luck.

Could be a chance for Blease and Strauss to get a game too. Would prefer to give them each a game or two than someone like Macdonald who we know exactly what to expect from. I hope Rivers is back next week.

I wish we didn't have that many injuries. In a fully fit list, Jetta would be straight out the door and Gysberts would be treading carefully as he just isn't damaging. Chances for the rookies, especially if Bail is out long-term. Is there a limit on how many we can promote in the play of LTIs?

Wondering about Greeny now... is it the captaincy or age weighing him down? Trengove has to be in the leadership next year. Bail could be a serious injury... might have room to elevate Evans, Nicholson and Campbell now. Davey up forward, Maric into the center square, need to roll the dice to win this one.
