Jack Martin
I don't understand why people think this is crazy money. Surely, he is worth around 600k per season?

Jack Martin
Darren Gaspar. It was about 300k - huge at the time.

Send Daniel Rioli to the Suns and see how many games he wins off his own boot. Martin is a gun and comparing him to Rioli is an insult.

Cornes Staggered By Dees Decisions
No matter what kernels of truth may or may not exist in what this guy says, he is nothing more than a troll. He says what he needs to say to deliver clicks, shares, comments and other engagement to his employer.

CP5’s Top 5
If he continues to play at the level he played at for the last 7-8 games of 2019, he'll be very valuable. Yes, he has the potential to be much more than that but I do think he's unfairly maligned at times. Either way, I'm glad he plays for us.

Cody Weightman (Drafted by Western Bulldogs)
There's no way Neville Jetta made a mistake.

Farewell Sam Frost
Don't disagree with much you've said and if Frost was still playing for us on a contract befitting of a depth player, I'd be a happy supporter.

Dees Plan to Turbocharge the Midfield
I expect both of these guys to be really solid, hard-working players that will help the side improve its consistency across 4 qtrs through hard running. The recruiting team should be congratulated. They targeted these guys a long way out and got it done with a minimum of fuss. If we can get our hands on a really good small fwd or two, this ship will turn around in no time. Bring on 2020.

Farewell Sam Frost
Surely, you can't expect them to manage the list with the expectation that they'll all be injured? I like Frosty, he was fun to watch but offering him 3 years on decent money isn't sensible list management. Also, he wasn't sacked - that's hyperbole. He was offered a sensible contract and chose to leave. IMO, he made a good decision for his career but so did Melbourne, in terms of list management and player payments.

Farewell Sam Frost
Needs to be put in perspective. He had a solid year but certainly hasn't proven he can do it consistently. In my mind, he'd be every chance to have a poor year next year. Also, he's not going to be ahead of a fit May or Lever which means he would fit somewhere between last defender picked and a fringe player - you don't usually offer 3+ years to that type of player. Yes, Hawthorn has offered him 3 years but they don't have May and Lever. Lastly, the comparisons with OMac are ridiculous - OMac is contracted and has zero value on the trade table. We are cashing in our chips on an unpredictable player. I think that's sensible in the circumstances.

Would be a great pickup if available. We need as many forward options as we can get.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
But we were once it's 'pet basketcase' and received the same treatment. Isn't this just sour grapes?

My 3 word player analysis V Fremantle
Tim Smith actually missed a few chances and could have had 5-6 goals.

Making the finals
I'm a glass half full kinda guy but whichever way you dice it, we aren't playing finals. I have us winning 9 and I reckon that might be a little generous on current form.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
The latest Cal Twomey Phantom draft seems to have missed our first pick (23) or am I missing something? http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-11-20/callum-twomeys-2018-phantom-draft

Is Brayshaw more rounded than the Trac?
Brayshaw works hard, is tough and knows how to find it. He's not as slick in tight as Oliver (who is?) or Trac. I'm glad we have them both but if I had to choose, I'd take Trac. His time will come.

Jack Trengove signed by Port Adelaide as a Delisted Free Agent
I'm amazed at how good I feel about this. Better than any win in the last couple of years! I've got the feeling I'll be watching a few Port games this year. What a legend!

Time to show Oscar some respect!
First half was poor, second half was magnificent. Even during that first half with the errors and dump kicks out of the back half, I could still see why we persist with him. He positions himself beautifully and is a very good (if not elite) spoiler. I can't help but feel we need to take a short term hit and pump games (and gym time) into him.

Demons offer Clarkson 5 year deal [2011]
I like Clarkson but it's fine line isn't it. If Cam Mooney could kick a football straight, the concensus on this site would be that Clarkson is a failure. I'm worried if this offer is real. Surely there's a process that the club needs to go through before it can make decisions such as these. Hopefully the club doesn't 'over-romanticise' the idea of a premiership coach or worse still sign a certain coach simply to appease the supporter base.

CYCLING
He finally got some good riders around him. His efforts to get two 2nd place finishes with no help were equally impressive. It's great to see him get the reward. With some luck he can win another.
