Not stong enough on the lead or in the air , huge turning circle that only turns 1 way .
-
After so amy years watching rubbish (not alot to cheer about) , the last couple years the supporters have been pumped and ready to explode when watching the side develop . A late injection of a fired up Ricky Bobby lifted the anticipation and there's nothing that raises the decibels more than a burst of goals and hard charge for the lead late in the game . If only they could've kicked straight , the roof woulda come off .

Watching on the TV , when the players ran out I thought "Awesome , they've got the red right , looks good ." Then the camera went to a different angle , and the red went pink .
-
IMO Scullys main problem with his kicking is that they are up & under looping type deliveries . A problem when passing to teamamates giving opponents a chance but accurate when pinging from 45 on the burst .
-
Yep , coulda placed himself among the Super Duper stars if he could get a kick during a GF . Relegated himself to the "Good ordinary" list .

Starting with you pal. Frawley aside , if you think those fellas will stack up against blokes like Hodge , Voss , Ricciuto etc. you need your head read , Sylvia has the tools , not the mindset , Mackenzie might have the mindset but not the tools .

Exactly , we've been physically beaten up in big games every time we've shown abit of dash for the last 25years . We've had the skill but not the mongrels that refuse to lie down in the face of physical onslaught or provide physical pressure of our own. Though I never saw Barassi play , I've been reading his autobiography over the last couple of days . The man was White Line Fever personofied from the moment he ran out in red & blue , it wasn't something he developed with maturity , it was in his DNA . If it wasn't for his shear force of will and absolute hatred of losing I doubt that we would've been half as successful during the 50's . I remember Neitz speaking on the dias after losing to Essendon in 2000 . Said he "hoped" we'd be able to make it back some day for another opportunity . As far as I was concerned he was the captain of a young side and should of declared that we WILL be back to make amends ... But no , too nice and guess what , we never got near it again . In a recent article with Watts the question was put to him if losing bothered him , "Nah , not really." was his benign reply . Although some said that it showed how level headed he was , No Jack , that attitude ain't gonna get us another flag . I know unearthing another Barassi is unlikely but we need need to find few more smash through brick wall , win at all cost types on our list or again dispite all our hopes this rebuild is doomed to fail also .

He's obviously far from in control of his problems . I've changed my stance and now hope Casey continues to give him a go . Taking football from him at this stage just may be the straw that breaks the camels back . JMO .

Lyon was only preparing the platform (read kissing Fevs arze) so he's old footy show mate would come back on for an exclusive . .

As a kid I'd go with my dad and sister , sit up in the 1st tear of the grandstand on the outer wing . Was a great spot for watching the game unfold . Sometimes I'd cringe when the old man got into verbal stouches with opposition supporters thinking that any minute I'd have to defend him and we'd all topple over the edge. When I get to games nowadays , it's mostly still with the old man and sister accept now it's gone full circle , the old man is the quiet 1 while I find myself struggling to resist flying the flag against ferals bad mouthing our club . Usually sit in a pocket on the fence now (mainly due to my sister) , alot harder to see who has space etc. at the opposite end of the ground but I get a kick out've seeing and hearing the body contact and big goal square clashes etc close up . Gotta say I enjoy giving the opposition players a spray from close qrs too . Living up the bush I don't get to as many games as I'd like anymore and tend to get rather tribal when I do . I love the crowd participation as much as the game , the oohs and ahhs , the roars of approval from our supporters when we are putting it together . I try to make my little patch a hostile environment for opposition clubs but often tend to settle around 1/2 time as my voice is just about shot by then , must learn to pace myself . Watching the Demons on a roll is great for the soul . B)

Huh , when ? Has constantly clipped us for not trying except on QB against the Pies .

The 2000 GF thuggery was as much our fault as theirs . I couldn't believe that we weren't ready for it ,for the previous 15 years they had beaten us up physically whenever our young side showed abit of dash . Then we meet them in the biggest game of the year and are utterly shocked by what happenend . Blind Freddy new they we're going to target the young fellas especially as Wallace position was kept by Sheedy for that exact reason . Hardwick and Soloman we're coathanger kings while longs Cheap shot was what you'd expect from a coward . Blokes like Neitz and Schwarz shoulda been more prepared to do some skull cracking of their own as soon as the rot started . Tho' I dislike all our opposition I save my hatred for Collingwood ,Essendon & Carlton .

Sheehans just a parasite on the game . Modus Operandi ;- Slow news day during the season , rehash some Scully GWS crap .
-
I miss Jack Watts threads .

The kids all class . I'll take him at his word .

I like Paul Roos as a person but I couldn't handle it if he gave us the Swans game plan . Same with what Lyon did the the Aints , turned them from exciting to boring as bat5hit . Gotta say , though I don't like the way Malthouse handles himself with the media , I like the way he seems to get consistant effort from the Pies . They've been round the mark for years with very few A graders . Our week on , week off , pick & choose when we come to play which has dogged us for years drives me to distraction .

Scully's management to talk to Melbourne this week
Fork 'em replied to SoNotFunny's topic in Melbourne Demons
And we want his signature in blood . Time to give it a rest FFS . -
He'll show up looking tired and worn out and declare to the football world that he's a "Total Fricken Rockstar from Mars." Then be ushered away by twin buxom personal assistants Candi & Brandi before further questioning .

I'm starting to think Tapscott is a figment of our imagination .

Lets face it , at this stage in his development , if he signs for 350-400k per season he's acted in self interest any more and he's held the club to ransom . -
Many have been sucked into the Dawks timeline . Got up and pinched 1 considerably quicker than Geelong .

So can Eddie and his "impeccable" source . -
When we get done this is usually exactly what happens and we go back into our shells pinned to the half back line playing stagnent football . Clubs like North see us coming and rub their hands together .
