I'm gobsmacked the AFL use WA umpires for WC games. Its not that WC don't deserve the frees they get over there but it's the frees they don't pay against them thats the worry IMO. I'd love to see the stats for frees against Nik Nat at home and then away for eg. The basic rules of the game don't seem to apply to him at all at Subi.

Why ? Demetriou has done absolutely nothing to make me think other wise. Started with Judds Visy deal to give Carlton a leg up and has continued from there with the draw and now his new babies GWS and GC. If the shoe was on the other foot and GWS or the Suns could manipulate the draft to suit themselves he'd give 'em the all clear and praise them for being creative.

Remember it goes abit further back than abit of booing. Sheedy feels slighted that we overlooked him for the coaching position. One of the reasons he wanted to stitch us getting Scully. Cost 'em 6million to do it tho'.

All the drooling that goes on around here over opposition players that most likely we'll never see in Red & Blue is a joke. Then there are those who state they would be willing to trade our best players or "pay way overs" to get them . Thank @#$% your no-where near the recruiting dept. We've gotta get better at identifying the talent before the draft. We've got the perfect opportunity this year to pick up 1 , maybe 2 guns of our own if we get it right. Lets concentrate on that eh.

Terrible blow for Mitch and for us. Nothing we can do now but our best to get it sorted with minimal problems. Will be a big hit to moral losing the forward line leader. Have been seeing some great comradery after goals on the weekend with the big fella holding court. Hopefully we can use this setback to our advantage as we've been very Clarke concious to this point. We will need to work some other avenues to goal and this should hold us in good stead for when he returns next year.

I'd like the banners to have a few more pointed barbs at the opposition aswell. The messages over the years have become a little too PC IMO.

Hats off to banner builders. I agree with the above sentiments , if you've gone to the trouble of making it , the least they can do is run through it. Showing abit of joy about playing AFL football and ripping through the banner seems to be uncool nowadays.

The battle is in the school ground. Kids don't like copping crap cause their team is getting flogged week in week out. They wanna be walking tall hanging the crap from where its safe ,in numbers from the top of the ladder. I've got 2 brainwashed kids at a small country school of about 60-70 kids. The only 2 that wear red and blue they are . My oldest girl seems to accept her lot but the young fella would swap to Collingwood or Essendon this afternoon if I gave him the go ahead. This of course just will not do.
