I was behind the goals with my Steven Smith duffel coat on. Had to look past the goal umpire ,Matthews and Smith to see the play. Might've been 25m. As you said, dead set king hit. Couldn't believe the goal ump "didn't see it".

Most players apply themselves the 1st pre-season at new clubs. (unless you're Colin Sylvia) So it's not this year I worry about Garlett. It's next year and the year after when he feels comfortable in his new surroundings where he'll reveal his true stupidity. It wasn't luck a 30-40 goal a year player fell into our lap at pick 63. Malthouse has been around footballers a long time and knows a DH when he sees one. And he didn't think this one was worth putting up with no matter how many goals he kicked.
