If they took pick 35 of HMAC then i would think something in the 50'70 range would do it tbh -
Wouldnt it be the other side of ours? has ours stopped has it?

Huge trade period by the pies imo...... Trading players for picks and replacing them for free with free agents. equals same player plus 2 extra top 20 picks......

He is a much better player than Sellar imo, unless Sellar can step it up 30+% imo Sellar has all the tools to even be a Dawes type just cant stick it together imo and may never quite do it. -
I agree he needs a run at it, but nothing tells me he works harder than Gys, apart from Gys being generally unfit and injured this season. Gys gets pin holes now because he was unfit when drfated and not worked on by bailey. I dont know what tappy has done to suggest he is one of the harder trainers at the club? I hope Tappy can be a Chappy type player and Gysberts a Hayes or pendlebury, my only point being that one is bigger and slips under the radar, the other skinny and was simply unfit under a [censored] FD and is pin hoeld as not owrking hard enough, when it is a system he is brought up and taught within which dictates this to an extent. Yes i think Gys has the talent, i just dont think we can say he doenst want it, like man yseem to, he has been unfit and injured, which makes it hard to step forward under the new regime.

I agree, but the point iwas making is that is just someone elses opinion, who cares if they are right or not? -
His comparison is Isaac Smith so i imagine so, drafted from the same team also which is interesting, i just hope our rivers/ all compo reaches in the 25-30 range to grab and Towers on Haynes type

Thinking Rivers compo

this would be the guy if he last imo RPFC, had a great combine, likened to Isaac Smith #38 West Coast – Dean Towers (VIC – Mid) Height: 189cm, Weight: 83kg, DOB: Recruited from: North Ballarat Style: Player comparison: Isaac Smith Range: 25-65 Profile: Mature ager who has really impressed this year. Towers has that same Isaac Smith type ability to just run. Give him time and space and he will just leave you behind and it’s a real feature of his game. Skill level solid and is strong overhead. Tested incredibly well in the draft combine not only in speed testing but also in the leaping testing demonstrating some real leaping ability. Or the younger Version #29 Richmond (Compensation Pick via Port Adelaide) – Matthew Haynes (VIC - Util) Height: 189cm, Weight: 76kg, DOB: 19/03/1994 Recruited from: Northern Knights Style: Player comparison: Rhyce Shaw (Taller) Range: 10-45 Profile: Haynes is a really versatile line breaker. Really broke onto the scene in 2011 and for someone of his height, his pace is absolutely incredible! Just bursts and goes past everyone with ease and is incredibly difficult to run down. Also would be very interested to see his meters gained statistics because if you let him he would sprint the length of the field. I think he could become a very good back flanker at the next level but he does have the versatility to play on a wing or forward. The other strength with Haynes is his marking ability which is well above average. Haynes has played much of the season down back and his shutdown game and as I understand it his running game at times has been restricted due to a hamstring injury he has at various times been struggling with. Kicking ability ok but I wouldn’t describe it as a feature of his game. I’ve been impressed on occasion with Haynes’ ability to kick at full pace and have been really surprised with his ability to hit a target when running at the speed Haynes does but also at times can choose the wrong option or slightly miss the intended target. I don’t see Haynes as a first round selection as he doesn’t quite have enough strings to his bow for my liking but none the less is an exciting line breaker he could add something to a team.

Dont you get sick of the same arguements, not everyone sees stars the way you do -
How many quality mids can you add at the one time though? yo any true effect? We have Viney and Pick4, and Barry, And Taggert all who have not played any games for the MFC. Then Tynan who has played 1 or 2, Gysberts who missed last season with injury and only got the one half chance last season. Evans also. I would count that as close to adding 7 mids under the age of 20 to our list? anyone else think this is still ALOT?
-
I think for a 20yo 3rd year player he did quite well. Last time i checked he only had to earn a spot in out team competing against those on the MFC list or has this changed? edit - probably got tagged in out team also.
-
He was also second in either kicks or total disposals and top 5 in the other. high up in tackles
-
You see him going backwards in this time, from being a Captain at 20 to not getting a game in our side in 2-3 years..... says alot, if not everything edit and also listing Dawes and Byrnes who have not yet played a game in your team? are they definitely there in 2-3 years? we know Byrnes wont, and Dawes has no runs on the board as of now?
-
Saying Trengove is not a walk up start for me is where is stopped reading
-
I am yet to be sold on Tappy, i think he gets away with alot more than say Gysberts just because he has the size imo, he has not had the games Gysberts has while in the side imo.

It is compromised, but both Martin and Hogan are only top 5 picks this far out, and are both potential #2 in their position also. the top 10 is always good so we will be able to get another couple mids in the future rather than all at the one time. edit - we took the KPF while we could because you dont often get the choice on when to take them in a real draft, mids are always available in the top 30, not quality talls -

Sylvia, Blease, Gysberts, Tynan, Byrnes in rotation the cupboard is not as bare as we all think after 2012 we did not see the best of any of these players imo -

I also wouldnt mind a look at Anthony Tupangwuti at some stage in the draft if deemed appropriate, Small forward form the NT, very much like Wonna, but has lived down in VIC playing for Gippsland this year and is said to be adjusting well and really wants a shot at the AFL -

Few people still talking him up, but also wondering why he didnt go last year? From all reports had a very draftable year this year ontop of his U18's last year
