  1. Still think we need a second tall be it Dawes or Pederson? But just get the one we can offer our 3rd round pick for imo, play themm for 2 or so years and hope that one of Fitz or Cook can be the third man eventually Letting us go for more mids with picks 4 and 20 perfect outcome to trade week if this happens
  2. I like the sound of Macrae more than Wines personally
  3. Clark and Hogan are both super mobile big men though.
  4. I think we will try and do it for less, maybe 3rd rounder or something, wait long enough and come back with a compo pick we get for Moloney or Rivers hopefully closer to 30
  5. Yes just came back hoping nobody had noticed.....so sorry trenners
  6. Because the others have had better 2012's Mayes had the big 2011 as an underage player and smaller 2012, still a high end prospect though and could go anywhere from 4 onwards imo
  7. Players we are forgetting, taggert, Tynan, Gysberts, Strauss, all missed 2012 for certain reasons......add this to Viney, pick 4 and pick 20 and our midfield options are looking better to me, in terms of improvement. Ontop of a base of Jones, Grimes, Sylvia, Mckenzie, Blease, Howe edit Trengove Edit again with Tapscott, Bail, Magner, Evans, Nicho Hopefully we can make a decent midfield out of all this? We are getting there
  8. Exactly if in the next 2 weeks, Gaff, Shuey, Dangerfield all unlikely want to come to MFC then yeah pick 4 is on the table. Otherwise we will get the 3 best midfielder in this years draft in Macrae, Wines, O'rourke, Stringer or Mayes
  9. I dont know how many games he played but finished outside the top 10 in the Rebels BaF.....on about 34 votes, the winner got 270odd I read yesterdays courier as the source At the same time the Rebels highest rated player was only just in the top 10 or so, tanner Smith so maybe there isnt much to read into the BaF results?
  10. I think he is more built like Pavlich, bit bigger than Kennedy, can do the same grunt work but can kick goal up front, kicked 7 or so in one game coming back form injury
  11. They were, GWS gave them and end of first round selection for pick 2.......and a crappy third round selection
  12. Hogan is not the best KPF next draft to my knowledge, but the actually best one who is said to be currently bigger than Patton as a 17yo WILL go number 1 and we have zero chance of getting him, i think it is Jake Billings? Hogan was top 5 this far out and would have been higher once Martin, another U17 if he wasnt picked and Mcdonald Norths father son was picked.
  13. Red le gi am saying that we rated Viney high enough to be pick 3 and GWS and GC were going to make us use pick 3 on Viney which we would have. So Assuming we used Viney on pick 3 Hogan is unders having used pick 13 on him imo, is what actually happened. We then got pick 20 as an upgrade and Dom Barry thrown in. This is the way i see it personally. Hogan was not the pick 3 part in this deal Viney was, and everything else Hogan pick 20 and Dom Barry were our upgrades. We essentially got Hogan Pick 20 and Barry for picks 13 and 26 imo
  14. We only got Viney for pick 26 because they let him slide, yesterday and today was one trade split over 2 days mate, take a chill pill. and look at the net gains as stated in my post about 4 above. we got Viney at 3 in the end imo, Hogan for pick 13 massive unders, down graded pick 26 to pick 20 another win AND got a free stab at a player who will go late in the second or early in the third round of the draft
  15. For those freting about using pick 13 ect From trade week we get a NET GAIN we would have had to use pick 3 on Viney anyway, Then got Hogan at a bargain of pick 13, upgraded pick 26 to pick 20 and a free Zone selection player who was going in the second or third round. So the net gain is large for us imo, Got massive unders for Hogan in the end and a nice upgrade and nice player in return.
  16. Yeah for that i would want a whole lot of 3rd rounders or a pick around 20, otherwise we give up the goods, adelaide get an awesome forward, sydney get an awesome forward we get DAWES
  17. There is an article somewhere saying he works out/runs on Christmas day because he knows that nobody else will be doing this, and it gives him an edge. Wow this is what we need found it ok so Shane Crawford runs on christmas day but Toumpas runs in the rain edit - http://www.afl.com.au/tabid/208/default.aspx?newsid=144716
  18. only issue i see is that GWS make out like Bandits, maybe less so as they gave GC an end of first round pick compared to GC who essentially gave up something in Viney when GWS were never giving up Whitfield?
  19. He welcomed Viney to the club with open arms today https://twitter.com/jamesfrawley8
  20. it will be interesting, maybe take the Wines harder type at 4 then a more outside, Kennedy, garlett Mayes type at 13 if possible/
  21. Wines and Viney played togther in like under 14 or 15's i thought Viney has been in adeliade now metro, they didnt even play state together
  22. If we got Winesi would hope it was at pick 13 as he is not a 3/4 prospect for mine. Would rather Toumpas, Mayes, Macrae or Stringer for a start
