Yes mate, I'll be there. I wouldn't count on a big contingent of dees support tho. Was at the Eagles game earlier in the year and thought we might have a decent showing of fans but it was relatively small amount - perhaps all of the finals converts were Eagles fans?!

Next two weeks are pivotal. Dogs at Marvel isn't the same proposition as playing them at the G, and they will want to do some damage to help step towards trying to heal the GF loss. Dockers at Optus is also huge - quality team at a hostile venue. Loading or poker tactics no longer can be used as excuses. We will get a good read on where we're at against 2 quality teams at less than ideal venues with top 4 on the line.

Watched the Goodes doco on Netflix recently and Dermie said some things back then that haven't aged well. His views on Daisy are also a decade or 2 behind the times. Goody summed it up well.

This is the biggest non issue IMO. The media are trying to keep the narrative of us struggling up front going. These sorts of things happen alot in most games and the counter argument is that we've often butchered the ball in the F50 trying to be too unselfish in more recent times- I don't mind a forward backing themselves to kick a goal if they think it's kickable. When Petracca has set shots form 55 on tigh angles and doesn't make the distance or kicks points it doesn't become a media circus.

The AFL would have had their say on our way forward, and they will review and guide north too. There will always be a bottom side that is essentially on their knees. It's the Roos turn. I don't see a huge issue. Without promotion and relegation, and having a draft system that incentivises clubs being dead last I just see this as part of the cycle of the system.

I think the system rewards struggling clubs- ie. priority picks, parachuting in CEOs and Coaches etc. I can see them turning it around sooner rather than later

I'd be completely shocked if were not wearing the indigenous design this week. Playing in Alice seems like a very appropriate move. The jumper has no effect on the result. Continuing to wear the indigenous design as/when appropriate shows that our clubs commitment to reconciliation is league leading - the majority make a token gesture for 1 round only.

Yeah, Nah. Footy departments would consider the remaining fixture in the decision-making. No way it's based on W/L at a stage only. Some of the teams on lower W/L at 10 rounds would have gone just as hard if they believe their run home allowed them to do so

I believe we were 10-0 because of form/confidence/trust. Injuries, infighting, and some form issues are costing us. I don't think teams that are loading would vary their approaches to such a great extent, as you seem to suggest.

All top 4-6 sides would be loading. So in these matches I assume both teams are impacted to a similar extent. Therefore our losses are telling in terms of our form at that time imo. I get that during the loading phase we might come up short against a 6-10th placed team that are just trying to to make the finals and are not loading, but I don't accept that we are loading to a greater extent than any of the other top teams, which is why I'm not supporitng the loading logic all the way through - we can't blame loading for the loss against the cats who have publicly indicated they're also loading. Your points around injury are very valid though
