  1. The talk over here is that the Kanga's are into him. If/when Garlett is drafted to an AFL club he will play forward, but may end up playing through the midfield once he develops the tank to do so. Has the tools to be the next generations Wiz
  2. Nicholson under Roos might be the next Crowley or Clancey Pearce under Lyon?
  3. not that im proud of it, but I was always a fan of Gysberts! Too good for VFL, but not good enough for AFL?!
  4. Not the best news, but he may well play more games next season than he did this year!
  5. Agree Treloar is the pick of their young mids IMO. I would happily do a deal for him using pick 9. lets hope SOS comes to the party, blinded by his draft pick addiction!
  6. I hope this is true, because every Freo supporter in the west reckons they're going to poach him from us after his first two years!
  7. I think he looks like a mid 30-40's pick. Doubt he'll lay for the dees
  8. I agree, but michie also won a b and f in a state league this year, and peel have the alignment with the dockers. Ps. I see a lot of people naming him on a wing. IMO he's more of a ruck rover or centerman, good at the inside stuff and reads the ruck taps very well
  9. Dear rpfc, We'd all appreciate an update when you get a chance, Love always, Demonland
  10. I just like the fact that our pick is late enough in the top 10 that whoever we pick wont have quite the level of hype that we've placed on Trengove, Toumpas etc. Pick 9 is late enough that the recruiters will have a decision to make, where as pick 1,2,3,4 are usually decided based on AFL media group think
  11. I thought they were Tigers people, thus he tried hard to get a trade to richmond last period?
  12. Great trade! Tyson will have an impact from the get go, and pick 9 will land another quality young midfielder
  13. I don't mind this, however blease for Mitche doesn't sit well with me. Viv is the definition of injury prone, he is a gamble. I'd keep an unfit ranga who knows where the goals are and has pace to burn over an injury prone midfielder who hasn't been able to show any consistent form at afl level.
  14. Shuey had bad run with injuries for a while there and Fyfe was "another skinny kid" when he was drafted. I doubt they'd be the player they are today at the Dees. the Pity is not who we have picked but our 'development plan'. It seems like we planned to draft a whole heap of kids and throw them in the deep end and hope they learned how to swim butterfly. What we ended up with was a whole team of kids who can only doggy paddle.....
  15. I'd happily trade pick 2 for a combo of player/picks. As long as we have a pick inside the top 20 we are well positioned to get a good young midfielder on the list
  16. If it is true, then at least he accumilates the footy on the HBF!
  17. I think Blease has some trade value. Packaged with the Sylvia compo pick i'd want someone pretty damn handy!
  18. Maybe a tad harsh, however only in hindsight. This time last year we were saying that Pederson was potentially a good KPP who was playing in the VFL because he was being kept out of the Roos side that had Petrie & Co holding down all the spots. Just sayin
  19. Saint Nick to Pies & Nicky Dal to the Roos?! ps. [/close thread]
  20. Ive seen him play a few time live, and on TV (WAFL). Whilst he looks like a good prospect, the WAFL is a far cry from AFL. Some of the posts in this thread make him sound like he is an absolute gun in the making, but in my opinion he might turn out to be Cam Pederson Mark 2. (picked up from another club seeking more opertunities in the AFL, Looks the goods at VFL/WAFL level etc )
  21. The 3 week FA/Trade period is nothing but AFL self indulgence. 1 week total would be enough time IMO
  22. I think i'd prefer Cross to Sewell. Cross probably understands how to play in a mediocre team better than Sewell!
