Off topic, but Chirs Dawes is the most overrated player in the comp. Plays 2nd fiddle in a premiership team but gets talked up like thes the Coleman medalist.

Maybe he has joined up so that he can monitor what the players are saying on it and subsiquently tell them to pull their heads in!

We as supporters should "give him a break". The club should obviously hold him to task RE his form etc, but as diw hard red and blue fans we should give him the benifit of the doubt that 2010 was a one off, and get behind him for season 2012

I agree. His drop in form/output from '10 wiould have been far less obvious if he wasnt the captain. In heindsight he was probably not the best chocie for captain, but he's still in the best 22. If i had to coose 1 player in the team to take a set shot from anywhere in the 50, B.Green would be my choice every day of the week.

Sometimes journo's forget that AFL is just a sport, not the single most important thing on earth. So we got decimated by ~30 goals, doesnt mean we do or dont stand for anything.... What does any AFL club really stand for?

Schwab and Connolly - both good at talking the talk, but if their track record at Freo is indicative of anything then we're in trouble!! Schwab must really rub some blokes up the wrong way, because from the outside looking in he seems like a really passionate, good CEO. Chris Connolly is a good bloke, but i have no idea what his job would entail on a day to day basis?

Rocket Eade. 80% of the list need a rocket so we need an old school, no beating around the bush style coach i feel. At very least, someone who lets the players know in no uncertain terms exactly what is required of them every time they pull on the red/blue. Viney could be this man though?

Jimmy and Schwab have done a great deal for getting our club bac kinto a good position. The decision on the 2012 coaching position is critical! Lets hope we dont become anything similar to Schwab and Connolly's previous club together

Thats right, Abletts Family is a massive part of the Geelong Football club. IMO Tom Scully leaving the dee's is an easier decision. Are the dee's one of the top sides in the comp? Are GWS going to be that far behind us? Did Scully grown up supporting the Dee's and did his Father play for them? NO HAs Scully played a heap of footy in the Jumper NO Ablett walking away from Geelong would have been more emotional for him than the decision that Scully has... Money talks, people walk...
