yeah McKenzie will play. Realistically i'd expect Nicho to be the Rookie to be upgraded to the senior list (as was the case with Juice last year) and one of Magner or Couch will get Gawn's LTI spot. I cant see this, alont with our draft picks, being enough to keep both Mckenzie and Gysberts out of the side.

Neeld strikes me as the type of guy who wouldnt have wanted the job in 2007. If he was into starting from scratch he would have picked the Dogs or Saints?

its easy to slag Bailey now, and will be even more so when Neeld & Co have some on field success. But i think it would be unfair to compare Neeld Vrs Bailey as single coaches, as Bailey didnt have Misson, Craig and a swag of assistants, and assistants to assistants at his disposal. Both Neeld and Bailey had previously worked as assistants at clubs who had won flags. It suprises me that Bailey, having been at Port for their 2004 flag didint demand the same types of things that Neeld has. I guess it goes to show that there is no one formula for success?

agreed, he stuggled with the running on the first day of preseason and since those initial reports alot on here have forgotten about the games he's played and his obvious talent

Nicho seems to be killing it at preseason + played well last year. The new VFL lads would have to be pretty decent to skip infront of him? One of them will get elivated eventually, once Grimes' does his yearly long term injury

Name names old dee. Which ones arent up to it? IMO the vast majority of these young fellas can play, and if they had been drafted by a top four club would look even better than they do playing for us, where they have been playing along side a team made up predominantly of other young fellas.

3 on the list? keep them coming, becasue im under the impression that people think we dont have the cattle to play finals but IMO we've got a good bunch of young blokes coming through who will hit their strapps in the next couple of years.

Great Call You can only simulate a match type feel at training if you're training/palying against bigger blokes, not developing kids

That wasnt my intended interpretation! I dont like the idea of short term captains, so just like Junior was only given a small time as captain i wouldnt like to see Green given 1 year only.
