  1. Oh please. That is massive unders. I would consider that being totally screwed. Just look at the C/V we have created for him and then precedents of Cameron and Kelly. If we get rogered like that Taylor’s negotiating skills are zero.
  2. How about reviewing the individual stats for the last half of the past two games. Let’s see what that brings, who was absent etc.
  3. Relax . What will he get paid at Freo? Rising Star winner, Premiership player, very young , a player we we were looking to build our team around and you suggest he has limited trade value ? I don’t think so. This bloke arguably has the greatest currency value ever afforded in the competition. Refer Kelly, Cameron.
  4. Bowie and Bedford for starters

Two classy half backs, one classy winger, two quick classy forwards ( one big) . Forget Grundy. Second week in a row too many players well beaten. There are 7 C graders in that side.
  6. Yep. Full blame surely must rest with selection committee. Going with the same team after being comprehensively bested the week before was flawed.
  7. Ben Brown’s efforts for the past two weeks of notice.
  8. Bedford Dunstan McDonald Bowie in ANB, Spargo, Harmes ANB Salem out
  9. Our forwards take no ownership.
  10. Leadership? Oliver ok the rest? The bit about doing it for the supporters seems to have been lost somewhere. Shocking let down for so many.

Just don’t feel comfortable with a Grundy deal and if it also involves a high pick, even less comfortable. Comparisons of two previous trades , Kelly and Cameron ,set some sort of precedent for any Jacko, trade should it happen. To then take on a Collingwood problem and pay them super handsomely for it, just doesn’t sit right with me. End of rant.
  12. Dees wouldn’t allow Demon ooz at Bombers. Agree he would be a good fit at PA
  13. Zorko finished!

Not for me. 5 years and $3.5 million. - he’s 29 Ouch! Just too rich and we haven’t done all that well with Collingwood trades. Not sure how the cats could afford him ,but happy for them to take the risk and clog up salary cap. We have a few we will have to tidy up next year.
  15. Conversion rate poor. Forward structure just lacks danger and devil. Too many players without enough tricks and class to be considered top end.
  16. Lobb is 29 and C grade. If we took him it would very soft trading.

Sad to hear the news. Wonderful bloke, great leader, very good player. Very tough on the field, complete gentleman off it.
  18. Small forwards didn’t show up last night. Chandler was unlucky last week and hopefully gets recognised next outing.
  19. The good old Geelong at Geelong thing ( the first game they put in the draw each year) even better this year on a Thursday night. So easy for supporters to get there. No seats anyway l suppose. I’d like the stats for all the other Victorian clubs visits over past 20 years.
  20. Profess to know how this ends ,but in Taylor we trust. I think we owe him that. Hypothetically could he already already have a satisfactory result in his back pocket on this? The younger Brayshaw keeps rolling around in my head. Surely he would want to play with his brother at some point and if he wanted too ,have an at worst, equally compelling case to come home. Remember, the years are rolling by. Would Jacko really want to go to Freo for say the cost of young Brayshaw who could be the reigning Brownlow medalist? l mean what a cross to wear, that could be😳 l think if he has a half decent manager, he stays for two years doesn’t he?
  21. Seems to me that we have 3 major contract issues. 1. Oliver 2. Jackson 3.Brayshaw To get them all done satisfactorily would be a terrific win. To get two of them done with a couple of first rounders or satisfactory player swap coming our way would be a pass. To get only one done would seem to be a fail IMO If it can be established that Freos $10 mill over 7 offer is real ( which l very much doubt) then why would we want to be in a silly deal like that? Performance based $7 mill over 7 much more realistic maybe.
  22. Rivers in , releases Salem or Brayshaw to go forward for either Harmes of ANB.
  23. Thought Turner showed quite positive signs for a first gamer and will only benefit from the experience. Seemed to read the play ok and had some competitive body size.
  24. I really don’t know why Weid, Smith or M. Brown are on our list. We might dream they will come good, but in reality we know what we are going to get. Tommy Mac is an old battling warrior too. Those involved in delivering a balanced and dangerous forward set up haven’t got it right IMO. Not only have we fallen in a somewhat predictable hole this year, what do we do with these blokes next year and beyond? But we love slow midgets and use most of our draft picks on them.
  25. Slow midgets team again. We’ve managed to turn back the clock. ANB and Harmes ( both senior players pulled out of contests) Sparrow also limited with speed against lightning Collingwood runners. Young Van Rooyen must come in because he simply couldn’t play worse than Mitch Brown.
