  1. Let’s remember that at no stage has the MFC driven this, that there is a lengthy contract in place and Trac is a required player. If Houston is worth two first rounders, the Harry and 10 gets nowhere near it. l wonder also what Harry might think about all of this? Something a little unsavoury in all this.
  2. I hope he stays . However we got two first rounders and a second for Jackson. Why would we accept materially less for a better player if it ever came to a negotiation?
  3. I too am very confused about all this . Collingwood players essentially caused both Traccs and the Brayshaw problems😳 If Tracc were to amazingly end up at Collingwood, l would find it quite bizzare. Should the football club ever consider going down this road, many supporters would surely be devastated and feel very badly let down.
  4. You saw the game he played yesterday and know what he’s capable of ,not to mention multiple b&f’s , premiership player, astonishing leader. etc etc Not worth a first round pick you say? lt was your first post , but l beg to differ. Reckon he’s attached at the hip with Max and the boys and would like to go out that way.
  5. I haven’t seen anywhere, that Trac wants out, so l don’t believe it . This is particularly after the level he’s reached and the C/V created being a Melbourne player. There are hundreds/ thousands of adoring little kids with No. 5 adorning their jumpers demonstrating their feeling for him. As an aside, a relatively raw Jackson, with nothing approaching the same sort of C/V required 2 first rounders and a second rounder. Trac is a huge step up from this, not to mention he is on a lucrative long term contract.
  6. I think we may be learning what having a dicey ‘back up’ list can really mean.
  7. Point made was fair enough. Stewart very unlucky not to get a free kick and he too, could have been seriously injured. Be nice to see Chol take the front position.
  8. You are not alone. Thought Rivers tackle was basically around the waist. Rozee is a cunning customer. Along with the natural momentum felt he added to the result and eventual free kick awarded to him. Think Tommy Mac said a few words to him.
  9. Hate to see a list like that shortly before the season starts. Suggests we are behind the eight ball before the commencement of proceedings after a five month layoff. TBC is such a crumby term. How about some indication for supporters when these boys will or are likely to be available for selection.
  10. Now without Brayshaw and Smith, Ben Brown and T Mac on semi retired list and so many injured . Getting a bit jumpy on our list preparedness for the season opening.
  11. Quintessential Goodwin footballer. Wish we had a couple more of the type, maybe a couple of real big bars teds up forward.
  12. Not if you live at Lilydale
  13. Also the number l believe worn by your good self Norm. Quite an important number in Melbourne terms.
  14. Well done Goody.
  15. Bit ridiculous rating trade week in isolation of the upcoming kids draft.
  16. Initially we all got excited and were a chance for Reid, then Dursma, then Mc Cercher., then Sanders and now thanks to the AFL the 5’2 Watson and what next. Hawthorn worked this [censored] out years ago. Let those who want to play the untried draft game do so and they will pick off the ripe fruit.
  17. Current whipping boy by some, but not by me. Drafted 9 in his draft year, has generally been more than adequate when needed, is a good kick and a good big body match up. Ok decision l reckon.
  18. Do not draft anymore b graders ever! Especially those of the slow Garden Gnome vaiety.
  19. M Bay 38 in MCC overwhelmingly Carlton. Think there might be more Carlton supporters than Melbourne supporters. Never experienced this before. Stamp out visitors passes at the G😀
  20. We have or will have a good hand in a draft that goes deep. Why bet the bank? Hope we don’t get sucked.
  21. I wish the AFL would just be quiet and not try attempt to support/ justify the tribunal’s decision. The AFL’s response has done nothing to earn the respect of the MFC or a decent number of the wider football community, including parents. I agree a suspension of Maynard wouldn’t have achieved much but a suspension of Maynard and a couple of rule changes might have.
  22. What a 4 hour circus for expected outcome. Nice theatre AFL. Had the chance but sadly didn’t convince anyone on head contact in AFL
  23. And neither do the other small forwards if we’re brutally honest and that’s part of our coward line malaise.
