  1. If, sorry when, we win a flag we should have a demonland party. Come dressed as your favourite poster
  2. Yep, good point. His kicking penetration dramatically dropped off didn't it. I had forgotten that. If he doesn't have a long leg (in god awful commentator speak) it will really impact on his effectiveness.
  3. That's an excellent point as endurance is certainly one of his strengths.
  4. Yep so do i. As does making it clear Melksham, and to a lesser degree Kennedy and Bugg, is keen to come to the dees at this early stage
  5. Spot on - and a spooky coincidence. I just copied exactly the same part of that article to make my sig block
  6. I agree with stevethemanjordan that Trenners is a natural footballer. Total natural, more so than Scully who was the classic athlete first footballer second draftee. It is for this reason that whilst of course it is optimal he gets his pace back he can cover the loss if it doesn't by becoming an inside mid who, like say a Mitchell, compensates by how well he reads the game. The problem with this for the dees is we are so so slow across the board. A fit, injury free treners back next season will be absolutely huge for us. Even more huge if he regains his pace
  7. If that's an accurate assessment by bucks I can't imagine roos would be keen
  8. However if the missing word is [censored], or in trade parlance pedergrassed, then I guess the answer is humans are fallible
  9. I presume the missing word is dream. If so I ask the same question each year. Different strokes and all that and I applaud the effort to hypothesise deals that are out of all but the club's control, but I don't get it either.
  10. Sounds reasonable enough. I like that it appears a locked in deal. Sends a good message that a player, who despite the predictable spud labels, would have options has chosen the NFC as his club
  11. Bollocks. As if the afl or wada would give such an assurance. The club would have a best guess on outcome most likely and would factor a possible suspension into the equation in a similar way they would a potential injury.
  12. Yep, a little weak trade season satire. The joke was not on you I hasten to add. You have rock solid info and have named the most reliable source possible. The joke is on all those posters that require iron clad sources during this silliest of all seasons
  13. Spot on bossdog. Don't get the hate for howe. Perhaps its because he didn't commit, but whilst not a star he is solid. And to be honest I love his supposed one trick. He is the best mark in terms if screamers I have seen. Ever. And he plays for us
  14. Only the true messiah would deny his divinity.....
  15. Perhaps some called the club to warn them and the receptionist thought they were saying yada, yada, yada so didn't pass it on to roosy
  16. Great. And I'm not being sarcastic.
  17. Credit where credit is due. You have been consistent about Watts from the get go. As someone who is most definitely emotionally wedded to him it pains me to say you have largely been proven correct in your assessments of him. He did improve this season but you're right he simply does not get enough of the pill. Still i hope he stays.
  18. Great to have you back GNF. Don't let the haters dissuade you from posting trade rumours or personal musings.
  19. Watts was terrific as third man up this season. But of course he's not going to work as a a back up ruckman. One thing that the club will consider, even if many fans don't, is the age profile of the club. If we trade Watts, Jones, Terlich and Howe in addition to the older players we have already axed we will have will have a whole bunch of players 18-22, some 22-24 and SFA 25 and over. That does not work which means that if they trade Watts and Howe it will have to be for a player with a similar age profile not a draft pick. Look at the caning Melksham is getting on here. What mid twenties player that might be swapped for those two is going to have DL jumping up and down for joy?
  20. Come back gnf
  21. Sure to grow as a player

  23. Kennedy is EXACTLY the sot of player we want. I reckon just about the most underrated player in the AFL and in my view is in the top 3-4 mids in the league. Perhaps lacks a little speed but more than makes up for it with his attack on the ball and ability to rack up huge contested and uncontested numbers. A warrior who perfectly fits the Roos ideal
  24. Being a left footer is a big tick for me. I've said it before but having a few decent left foot kicks is hugely valuable, particularly of the half back. A good lefty often has a bit more time and space as instinctively players cover for right kicks. As we see with Salem this can be really important when clearing the ball from the back half and crossing to the 'fat side' ( a side i crossed to some time ago - i'm trying to get back to the other side but it aint so easy).
