I was waiting for you to jump in on this WYL. Love your passion for the red & blue jumper!

Old dee. Where have I applied a question here? What are you struggling with that I might not understand? Please explain as all I did was respond to one comment as to why we are wearing a white clash strip. Times have changed is far from the reasoning I require. Mate, I am aware that you are being pragmatic here and call me one eyed, but I say The Melbourne Footballl Club matters a hell of a lot. You were looking ok with the point on teams that would leave the AFL struggling until you added St Kilda into that group? And you reckon the dees don't matter?
-
I jumped on twitter straight after this post and the the tweet was not there? I can't see twitter at work but is it there now? Is Rick just playing games with the crows now?! B)
-
Times have changed is a pretty weak and flippant response to the argument that we are being forced to not only wear an alternative strip, but receive specifics from the AFL as to what the primary color is. There would be no AFL if it weren't for the MFC. The clubs should have rights to this.
-
Many of us can't understand it WJ and of course GWS will be granted those colors, they already have been haven't they?
-
Port wont let Trengove go. Had a fine debut. The Griffin, Tarrant, Jacobs trade could be a goer. Griffin is going home, so is Tarrant and we hear both Adelaide clubs want Jacobs.
-
Yes, Yes, I too voted Liberal and am not happy B)

The club has nursed him along well IMO. I don't think it's difficult to imagine the FD have very high hopes for Blease and him being part of the 'aspiring' premiership side. This year has been about getting time into that leg and there is no reason to believe he couldn't come back as well as his talent allows. There are no guarantees on him, broken leg or not. The pins out & a full pre-season and we can judge him on what will be, essentially, his first season.
-
Correct, the pins are coming out and this will make a world of difference. Steamin, I see where you are coming from but I don't think he needs to be written off just yet despite the severe injury. I saw him a few times at Casey 1's and 2's and his pace, especially taking the ball in a stoppage and leaving others in his wake is still there. I last saw this at the Cold Goast game and it was scintillating to watch. If he brings that to the Demons, I have said he will win the Rising Star in 2011. You and I seem to be a different poles in relation to where we see Blease, if he can meet us both halfway in 2011 I reckon we will be pretty happy and the future will be bright for him...and us!

I am watching but being at work unable to use the chat function. Great initiative Cam but would love this after work.

Settle down DH. Did it really affect you that much that I was incorrect? There has been a bit of ambiguity in the information regarding picks etc for GC and the like. Glad that you are here to steer us all in the right direction. It was far from rubbish or tripe, rather what I believed at the time that has since been corrected. DH
-
Yep, tough. B - Fletcher, Scarlett, Archer HB - Hodge, Leppitsch, McLeod C - Buckley, Ablett, Judd HF - Hird, Brown, Chapman F - Akermanis, Lloyd, Ricciuto R - Cox, Voss, Black I - Cousins, Goodes, Wanganeen, Riewoldt Captain:Voss Coach:Not Voss
-
Rigging B&F's to get better value? You do like a conspiracy.
-
Pretty certain The Big Rush didn't win it. Would be about 20 years nearly to the day that Billy Swan won one of his two, yesterday his son picks up the MVP!
-
Yes I agree, McKenzie must go!
-
Matt Fieldsend impresses me every game he plays. Fantastic footballer.
-
Thanks KC. What is it that enables a club to win such an award? Do aligned clubs run better or worse?
-
He finished 13th in the B&F in 2010. From that I would be taking the football dept believe he hasn't delivered.
-
Harry O'Brien is a [censored] and all about his own words. Again, he used those cheap words to get into Barry's face. If anyone is weak it is this d-head. Probably one of the reasons we have Greens voted in, in Melbourne. D-head!

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/black-hole-in-rising-star-nominations-swallows-jordie-mckenzie/story-e6frf9jf-1225914136398 Very stiff Jordie. Good article.

It's never going to be the advantage of when it was a final 5. Finishing top at least in the final 5 system was a great advantage. You got a weeks rest to watch 2nd & 3rd go at it, then playing a Semi against the winner to go straight to a GF. If you lost the Semi, you still go to the Prelim & get another game to go to the GF. Not sure you can have teams choosing who they play, it would be nice to see more of an advantage but for the most part the best team invariably wins. Besides the 08 GF, the Hawks cannot manage to get over the line against Geelong. Hopefully will see this next weekend, preferable than a Geel V Freo final
-
Agree. Would add Wonaeamirri, Blease, Gysberts & Tapscott into that group.
-
Where is the full list available?
-
Well done to Green. For all 3 awards he picked, he looks sure to be the skipper in 2010. Sylvia has a B&F in him if he plays a full season, his good games are better than most. Great stuff by Chip & Russian. Nice to see Jordie finally get some recognition for a great season with the coaches award. Scully, top 10 already! Will win a few Bluey's, no doubt.
