Super effort from Col Sylvia from only 15 games. Lot of love here as there should be!
-
Brock McLean was gone before the B&F last year.
-
Mate, what on earth are you reading? Is that link taking you elsewhere? There is no mention of Pav to Port, only to the Suns. Other than this the article is full of substance and 100% spot on, which will be confirmed in an hour.
-
Billy, I think it is spot on about NK. Agree on the Pav situation, one that gathers at this time of year except instead of the Crows rumour for Pav it is now Suns.

Top 5 things we want to see happen in 2011
Red Sox replied to dees189227's topic in Melbourne Demons
Warnock carried the backline well through some tough times, had a shocker in a come back game against Port but his best days are far from behind him. If he was put on the market you would have 12 clubs or more lining up for him. Garland - will not be a forward, he and Frawley are our key defenders, end of story. What is it with this continuing call? Good season by Riv and Col G - injuries could be behind these two, hopefully. Rivers will be Vice Captain at worst of MFC. -
We should all back the club to be able to judge the character of potential draftees. Not sure what anyone of us, unless exact first hand info is available, would know the character of any of these kids. I would hate to think a sex romp would be an issue that would see us ignore a player. Gee, when I was that age I was all about Footy and sex romps, sadly I only get to enjoy the footy these days! The club will make the right decision on character.

Hannebery will get it over Scully. Heard G Lyon on MMM Saturday and he spoke about his vote going to DH, just, with Scully a close second. SEN radio will be covering from 12pm if you can get near a radio/net etc. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/rising-star-hype-for-daniel-hannebery/story-e6frf9jf-1225912528921 Check out Jon Anderson's fantastic preview of the Rising Star today. States that Hannebery had a consistent season with 5 big games against Melbourne (twice), Haw, Rich & Nth. Hopefully Hannebery isn't given any extra votes for the accompanying picture to the article, a Dees V Swans game in Canberra from 2009. Maybe Jon Anderson was confused by the picture.

B - James Frawley, Brian Lake, Harry O'Brien HB - Luke Hodge, Harry Taylor, Corey Enright C - Dane Swan, Gary Ablett, Brendan Goddard HF - Paul Chapman, Matthew Pavlich, Alan Didak F - Brad Green, Jack Riewoldt, Steve Johnson R - Aaron Sandilands, Lenny Hayes, Matthew Boyd I - Scott Pendlebury, Mark Jamar, Nick Dal Santo, Lance Franklin Trying to be impartial but reckon the 3 Demons have rightful claims to the positions they occupy. Frawley has Fletcher, maybe Rawlings vying for his spot. Green has LeCras, Hall maybe as well as other arguments such as Franklin starting & another player getting a spot on the bench. Jamar has Jolly & Mumford and I go with Jamar because he beat them in 3 games. That has to add weight to his inclusion. Could go without a 2nd ruck altogether.

1 - Sam Blease to happen! This kid will win the Rising Star in 2011. A good year for him this year, in that he was able to return to football, a few issues along the way but he should be behind all these problems for the start of 2011 and watch him go. 2 - Jack Grimes & Rick P - to put injury concerns behind them. An overall improvement in injuries across the board. 3 - A win at AAMI. Or, simply not being scheduled there for the next 10 years, can we just hide from the place? 4 - Jack Watts - to continue to be discussed more than any other player - because he is tearing it apart (as opposed to the dribble that goes on now). Please Jack, either be great or average and be done with you! 5 - The Colombian mother from Modern Family, Gloria (Sofia Vergara) to succeed Pia Miller -

Not happy with Frawley? Garland? Rivers? Warnock? -
Agree with this. I felt that ND even as far back as after the 2000 GF tried to recruit more physical players. He always seemed to be a step behind how the game was developing and got caught out.
-
How many people getting along to the B&F? With a one & two year old, gets harder by the year. Would love to be at this one, reckon it will be an exciting count.
-
Pretty close HT, although if pressed for one it would be Jack Grimes - # 16. (Four x Four)

3 things i fell out of love with this season...
Red Sox replied to Jerry Lundergard's topic in Melbourne Demons
Apparently a decent footballer, All-Australian, B&F winner and club captain also retired last Sunday. Missed this in Mondays HUN Sunday twilight games & Jam Donut vans outside is not a good mix. 6 donuts at 7.30pm is no dinner substitute -
Yep, need a few more Jacks in that premiership team plus another Viney would be nice especially from reports about this kid! Certainly no golfer. No assumptions here the formula is faultless! You are aware this is a bit of pi$$ take? Always positive JC. Don't doubt the formula though! Is that right? Great pick up 45, wish I had of included that B)

1. James 'Chip' Frawely - that neck deserves a postcode. Love this bloke. 2. The Big Rush - Jamar carried the ruck duties through every game, you could see him tiring. Great credit 3. Optimism - the club is full of it and it's been fantastic to take that feeling to every game this season. -

1. The Ponsford Stand - credit to this area during the Dees/Hawks game. A good day standing on the terraces. Other than that, it feels like Docklands down there now and the single BAR is a disgrace. 2. The MCG car park - tried 3 different entrances for the North game, car park taken over by a Jehovah convention 3. Waiting for a win at AAMI -
Loved Lynden's goal but I can't go past buddy's as GOTY. There have been better goals but watching him roar up the wing, taking the player on the whole way was breathtaking and I loved it. Doubt he would take on Chip Frawley in similar circumstances!

I've worked out that we will 'most likely'* win a flag in 2013. This is based on the Increment of Four formula. This Increment of Four is based on MFC winning the wooden spoon in 2009, winning four games. In 2010, MFC finished in 12th position, an improvement of four places on the AFL ladder. In 2011, MFC will 'most likely'* finish in 8th position, an improvement of four places on the AFL ladder. In 2012, MFC will 'most likely'* finish in 4th** position, an improvement of four places on the AFL ladder. In 2013, MFC will 'most likely'* finish in 1st position, an improvement of four places on the AFL ladder. In addition, the crowning of MFC as premiers in 2013 will have seen four years pass since the 2009 wooden spoon. ** - 2012, due to a fourth place finish could see a flag come this year, the formula sustains this anomaly slightly * - there is absolutely no basis or foundation for an Increment of Four. Except for a flimsy connection between 2009 to 2013. And the four wins in 2009. And the improvement of four places on the AFL ladder in 2010 Besides, the mighty Dees will win a flag before that!

Jack Trengove: Jack did some exciting things again. It’s been a long year for Jack, and he got himself over the line with his preparation. He’s done really well this year. Player review (Mark Williams) from Rnd 22, probably sums up Jack's year nicely IMO. Reading into two lines of a comment is always fraught with danger but it tells me that Jack was probably set back a bit after his injury. Seems he has worked through any issue there to get to the line. It says much about his character if indeed what I am reading into is being read correctly Will be a star, all class.

Where does Davey play if not half back? I thought Chip did play on Hall? Agree with Cheney & Jones.
