  1. Your right. Depending on what they might gain in exchange it could work in their favour. I certainly wish them nothing but failure though.
  2. I like it....going away from the Green is good and less red is great as there are more than enough takes on red around the league. Green is now free for GWS!
  3. Da Bears going nicely enough without him!
  4. Out of disgust or due to ability? Hoping the former?
  5. I heard that interview and it is funny that what Petoro said about Junior was categorically denied by Swann. Does this give more weight to the Jones 'whisper'? He did seem pretty chuffed with the Ablett press conference on twitter. More weight? Likely me reading more into that. I agree with you on Jones here and previously. I think as a FD they may talk more about Warnock this period rather than Jones. I think Jones will bring to the table the same efforts in 2011 as 2010 which won't hurt his currency too much, 12 mths down the track. Age wise he will be fine. So we probably have an 24mth window to act on this move.
  6. Your right, I missed that pitchfork. A good thread all the same.
  7. Mine is a not a high horse E. Calling you an argumentative bugger is hardly abuse, but your IQ is obviously on a whole other level to the average persons. Note - for a reference to the average persons IQ, see Cameron Cloke!
  8. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/7415/newsid/103461/default.aspx Further, KS prediction for pick 12.
  9. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/7415/newsid/103485/default.aspx Dion the Dee? Seems a good type but more of what we already have. Does it add any weight that the club go to the trouble of penning an article about him? Good luck to him and his Demon supporting family. Great updates at MFC website on the draft camp by BP & co.
  10. It's a good point E, in line with this Judd effect. Saints also had to get used to playing with him again after formulating a successful plan without him. Nice problem to have, I know B) Saints IMO have a bit more mental fibre about them than many of the scum.
  11. Good points except for the Hardwick inclusion. Reckon that he is looking for a flag, not just finals.
  12. Your an argumentative bugger aren't you E? Every thread seems to go to about 6 posts before you end up in an argument. Or are you just trying to pot anyone after your Cameron Cloke effort?
  13. On my way into work, Junior's manager, Tom Petoro I think it was mentioned how this had come to him. He stated that Junior was overseas on holidays and that he was talking with him about, that he definitely felt he had another year or two in him. If that is what he wanted to do. Swann says the opposite. I believe Tom on this one.
  14. Apparently a few clubs have inquired as to Junior becoming an assistant. On SEN they had his manager on who advised they are talking about it. I think Junior would feel he can go around again. It would be devastating to watch him in those colors. I still back the club in their decision, if I was James unless Carlton were a flag chance, why bother? He will protect Judd & Murphy etc well, but Carlton have many issues around the field. Not just in the middle.
  15. Thanks for sharing. Certainly adds to the intrigue. Emblems, Demons, Jumper changes, all very positive so far IMO.
  16. Agree, still only 26 & if the deal is right would certainly be an acquisition in tandem with Jamar.
  17. Great stuff Nudge... If nothing else, certainly some food for thought and the possibles mentioned all have different merits depending on what we give up. We are in a good positions, there are a few players with Warnock prime as a full back, that clubs are looking at but we don't REALLY have to go to hard yet. It's a good position as we have a little upper hand.
  18. Good skit, great show. Even the MARS games at Olympic Park get more of a laugh than football humping dogs on The Footy Show, not that I am a FS basher, I do still watch.
  19. This thread has a life of it's own, racist leanings, Jurrah as captain? Wowee.....was there a draw in the GF? This place has gone crazy.
  20. Have to better than one example, than Farmer. What about when he went back to 33? He then took off! There will be changes. Firstly, Bennell has yet to carve anything into the team and was lucky to play as many games as he did this year, I like him, but a bad example for this argument. What about Stynes, 37 to 11? Tingay - 52 to 15 to 2 Spalding - 35 to 5 I was going to start at about 1987 and name players for you, but I can't be bothered. The 3 above are 3 of my all time favs and that's enough examples for now. Plenty change to low numbers, always have, always will.
  21. Sad day for football. Pity that the the actual AFL are running this show in it's entirety. Does anyone believe we would have not heard about this last week had the GF not been drawn. A kid who's father was probably the best the game has seen, grew up following this club, plays for them as his father did, achieves premiership success, individual success, then walks away when bigger money is flashed at him. Every other reason he might give is just dressing, as we all know, it's the money. Obviously it is a lot of money and hard to knock back but how much is enough doing the thing you love? I don't know because I will never be in a position to make that decision. Maybe as a player your love for the club can be diluted by inside issues etc? Who knows, but if I ever got to live my dreams of playing for the Dees, I would never walk away.
  22. These are pictures and the colors will be somewhat different when the jumper is in the hands. I think the red will be darker as will the blue, which I do like. Love the emblem being there. Never mind moving it up or down, it would look better without the Hankook logo's but of course these have to be there.
  23. Thanks Nasher. I guess that would mean no change for him. I liked the suggestion of 23 for Jordie but he obviously won't change from 13 now.
  24. With the big, cashed up types such as Collingwood & Essendon leading the way, some clubs might follow this trend. The best team that you can have around the coach, no matter the structure or titles would work just as well as having a director of football, IMO. It still comes down to the coach doesn't it and what he ultimately gets out of his playing group? There will be a bigger, more experienced name attached to these director of coaching roles, as in the case of Malthouse. Nothing yet suggests it will work better than the traditional coach and assistant set up. It will be interesting to see how it works. It should happen with Ess & Hird before the Malthouse/Buckley set up at Collingwood. Connolly's role as GM would be a fair bit removed from that of a Director of Coaching, wouldn't it? As it would be an assistant coach?
  25. My guess.. Blease is a monty for # 7. Strauss - # 17 from 47 Bail - # 23 from 44...Junior's number sits nicely with him IMO Bennell - # 21 from 43
