Yep, same. Happy to go with Dandeemans info that he is talking. Surely we didn't have only Hale in mind?

The way things seem currently (prior to the drafts) Stef must have an impact forward or relief ruck as you suggest HT. I thought when we first saw him, he had some potential down back and his ventures forward, he looked lost. Priority # 1 for Stef is get some aggression into your play and attack that ball. Could do anything, could continue to do absolutely nothing. I like him and hopefully things turn.

I agree. Considering how Mumford has gone, coupled with enough drama's down at the cattery just now, not sure they will take the chance by letting him go.
-
Our chances against Hawforn died when Flash went off, but I agree with what is being suggested. Sure we all want Flash to consistently deliver and not have those awful brain fades when a hard tag goes on him. That also applies to his teammates and protection they give, this will get better as the youngsters in the middle grow and mature. Scully already blocking for team mates - gotta love that!

DeezMan your quite harsh at times and that is pretty dismissive. I suspect your Jamar critique would have been much more damaging than this if this is how you see a player that has had very, very limited exposure thus far. He's played 10 games FFS and is only 22. Trent West, would be a good 2nd ruck option, but he is likely to be given more opportunity at Geelong.

Last communication was out of Hong Kong airport, I think? Not sure there will be match more than that, sadly. If it was the filth it would find it's way back here somehow.
-
And you've now contributed. I think we play this weekend but likely to see more coverage of Chilean miners than Melbourne Demons.

Good points. Except Jurrah has to be more of a tall

Is there a ready made Hale type out there..in other comps?

http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/afl/south-fremantle-contunues-its-push-for-the-final-four/story-e6frg243-1225890263605 Don't mind that suggestion at all jcb. -
It's certainly a story line to be told grand final day. Will the recruiting staff be feted for this talent scouting coup as Hawthorn were in 08, focusing their attention on left footers? Jack Darling it must be at pick 12. Unless another club is on to us & our strategy Edit: I would prefer the OP start the Jack Grimes description with, Superstar & captain in the making. Then maybe a mention of the injury issues. Jack Grimes for me!

Not admiration but fact. 2 of the top 3 you named from the filth are KPP. I'd say that the filth's predominant kicking game makes Dawes & Cloke essential to their set up. That is why they score heavily & players such as Didak, Beams etc capitalise.

Got ya daisy...pruning hedges etc etc B)

Nor am I WYL, the aussie dream of wife, kids & a mortgage for me! I could be low brow and respond to those numbers you put forward, but I'll walk away.....
-
Yes, well a fair bit to happen to end up in that dill pickle.
-
I did have to read that twice WYL. Not that there is anything wrong with that!
-
Your missing Trengove, Garland that for mine have potential to be elite. I wouldn't call Nick Maxwell elite. As far as potential, I like Watts chances more than Dawes to become elite. If I was being honest, Jamar & Frawley had elite seasons. They need to do this again and again before they are elite. Green is IMO. I think we have a very high potential to see at least 6 or so Demons become elite. Not just yet.
-
Who's the dill? We will be selecting a big guy. No doubt. Will he be NQR? Hardly and who has suggested otherwise? Not to mention the obscene repairs & maintenance costs. Bit like a Luke Molan draft choice a commodore. Looks great, can drive ok, but prone to break down and cost you a packet! Got ya!

In regards what?

I admire you for not potting players but cannot agree with your assessment that Michael Newton has been making progress. The attributes you speak of, I am not exactly sure what these are? To respond to the OP question, if you saw a Pods or Newton at VFL level who would you take? I am happy that both MFC and Newton have extended enough time to each other and need to call it a day. I think it was High Tower that mentioned Sinclair from Port. I would much prefer to give a spot to someone such as him that has shown his attributes at VFL level, consistently. -
Clarkson, May & Hammond discussing the draft now? + 1 - in agreement with belzebub & predman. It is an area we need to look to fill, the player available will be one of the best available at the time. Pretty simple.

I'm a bit disappointed how the media are portraying Todd's return to the club. I would expect the majority of media to have some sort of understanding as to a past players relationship with his old club. In Todd's case, he returns to the club & attends numerous funtions, did so while at Hawthorn & Adelaide. Does his passion for his club not have enough to it, to see that his son would want to carry that legacy forward? Does having him as coach really make the much difference? It could back fire and the kid might not want to go where his dad is!! Always has to be another angle.

I look forward to the day as MFC supporter, I sit back and lament the demise of our time at the top! Your right E, it all comes crashing down quickly.
-
Mate, he was drafted in 2009 draft. Been there this past (2010) season only. They quickly move on these seasons! Your list of talls has merit and looks to be something that could be explored by clubs, a fair bit down the track though. We still have this draft where we could end up with a Darling, Lynch etc and might not then look for a Butcher. Much water to pass.
-
Best hold off until after the draft, could well be a further addition with Jack Darling.
