Don't get me wrong - I am very happy that he has gone somewhere else - is he still playing AFL? We have done incredibly well out of his departure. But, I just despise him and cannot forgive him for lying to a dying great of our club, of the game, when he could and should have done what others have, and obfuscated. Others may choose to forgive but I cannot and will not.

And, Barrie, of all the jumpers in the AFL Hawthorn are guaranteed never to clash with anything. Who would choose colors remotely resembling those. As with all things AFL, it is all about marketing and screwing $$$$ out of fans and families

As corrupt as the AFL and in particular its Tribunal and MRP.? Surely not.

It will be fascinating to see how this unfolds. Am I correct in saying that he has no official rôle in the AFL now? If he does it should be suspended pending the outcome.

I must say when I saw the thread title I was thinking, hoping, just that. I his own way I feel he has already made that step. I very much doubt he will be a flash in the pan type.

OMG baby blue - like that pathetic Carltank one? You must be joking. I laugh every time I see it, especially if they then sing "We are the navy blues..." More like "We are the powder blues...". The red with blue logo looked pretty good and could never clash with anyone concerned with clashing with our traditional strip.

Your are surely not suggesting that the AFL would ever make up rules on the run to support some of their favored clubs, are you? Not a body as deeply committed to integrity and transparency like the AFL? Burn the heretic! :-)

Agreed He is, somehow, called a comedian. I find him just plain dumb.

I am absolutely certain he will get a game when and if he is ready and wins a spot, and not until then. If it takes a month, two, four, six or twelve then so be it. If / when this happens it will be a huge bonus and a huge day for us all.

Makes me more than a little bit angry: basically it appears that he was blackmailed by a stand over bully boy. One who has done very little to be excited about in his new exalted rôle.
