  1. I look forward to Jesse playing for us in his third and fourth (actually his second to for that matter). He was "wielding influence over the entire field with his presence" in year 1. But this is a Prestia / O'Meara thread - either would be (if fit) a huge bonus: both would be orgasmogenic!
  2. No.. They do it through their tooth sockets.
  3. PD - thanks for reposting this. It gives an insight (for those who choose to read it) into Jack's challenges and as to how / why it effected him so badly. I join all the vast majority who wish him well, but I shall not hold too high expectations. Any return to anything like his initial form would be a huge bonus for him and the team.
  4. Well done WJ. About time - could do for many other threads as well. It would make this whole board far more enjoyable.
  5. Steve. That sure doesn't help, does it. Most are slow when they don't sprint.
  6. Seriously. Does he, like Gil and Vlad, think we are all stupid? If not performance enhancing, why go through a (presumably) expensive secret program??
  7. Surely it should be "whoever takes it"!
  8. One big thing missing from these FOXTEL summer marathons is identification of the games. Surely an unobtrusive watermark in a corner A vs B round 10, 2003 would be a simple thing to add. It would add to the enjoyment and interest.

  10. The best wins in the past few years were last year's v Dogs and Cats - very satisfying but hardly putting them away. Remind me. Was that year 1 of "the good stuff"? Beware - they have a new pharmacist in charge this year.
  11. Another 'post of the week'!
  12. Snatching defeat from the very jaws of victory : has been too often true. Hopefully that will be dispatched to the vaults of history, to keep the integrity of the game, and trust and honesty company.
  13. Rewarding misbehavior by giving a holiday?! Where have I hird that before?
  14. Please rephrase the title thread - one person says that........... or or do you think it must be true because you heard it on the radio?said
  15. Our lack of run and spread, and of offering 'decoy' ie up rewarded leads to thin the opposition numbers at the contest has been a very sore point for me for years, maybe decades. It has to me reflected laziness and even maybe self satisfaction.....hopefully we have turned that important corner that will make us very competitive. How sweet would that be. Time to move on. Mods - is re a way to block specific posters so that one doesn't have to read and reread rubbish?
  16. I haven't seen the ad, and may never see it. There was a rumor that they were considering offering Jab a gig: I presume that he is not in the promo or someone would have mentioned it.
  17. I would much prefer him* to be premiership ruckman *Gawnuis Maximus
  18. Yes Dawes doesn't / won't ruck It pains me to say but I think I will give AFL a big miss this year - pains me because our team finally looks like they may make an impact, sans injections too If that is a fact, it only reinforces my rapidly dwindling interest in all things AFL IF the AFL had any interest whatsoever in the integrity of the competition, let alone of the game, EFC would have to play the season for zero points Much as I hate to show any sympathy for Collingwood, it is grossly unfair that EssUndone get pandered to by Gil and his corrupt mates, while Collingwood, rightly, were made to "take their medicine" so to speak. And they didn't even grumble. And they didn't deliberately and secretly undertake a systematic drug injection regimen. Absolutely nothing to retain, so I guess they see nothing to lose. IF Jab returns after his suspension, I would love to be at the Downlow count the following year IF he got any votes: one can imagine the undercurrent mutterings which of course the AFL would ensure did not appear on the TV coverage.
  19. I am also a Grimes fan but seriously it does look like events and others may well pass him by. I would just love to be wrong, by he is running out of time to correct his disposal issues. Great to hear that he is actually kicking the ball. Maybe you misunderstand....I was suggesting that he may supplant both Dawes and Pedo soon.
  20. An interesting analysis of the sub / interchange situation Dee - it is certainly going to help to have players who are fit and can stay on the ground. IMO it should help get some stability on the ground.
  21. I guess that shows that there is some good in everyone. Nice tip. He could freeze Dawes, if and when fit, and Pedersen out of the second tall forward spot. That would be good news.
  22. I had totally forgotten about that con man. Is he still at Geelong? Not that I give a toss.
  23. I am certain that the AFL Integrity Officer will have a look at this....after all, he has lots of free time. Has done bugger all over the past few years.
