That free to Elliot (behind scored) for "dragging it in" was carp. Tiger did start to drag it in but never controlled it, and the Magpie tackler nearly pulled the defender's head off. Surely HTB must first mandate a legal tackle. High contact / tackle must surely always take precedence?

Tigers came out with a refreshed attitude and kicked straight. Looked a contest for a while but now Colonwood are kicking goals and (8.25 to go Q3) look like they have settled.

Whilst, as yet, totally unproven, JVR and Jefferson are being developed as eventual KPFs. Yes, a developed KPF would be just great, few are available for trade.

I had a look at his “Casey highlights” from the weekend. He certainly looks a natural footballer - if he can gain full AFL fitness and strength in the next preseason, together with footy development at Casey this year he just looks like he could be a genuine steal. A very exciting prospect though I acknowledge that rookie drafts are generally quite speculative and that highlights are just that, highlights. Will follow with great interest. Any further thoughts from Casey watchers?
