  1. He won’t want to go to a club that has a number of years in the bottom half of the ladder coming up.
  2. If he wants a big Vic club that makes a field of four IMO. Carlton, Collingwood, Geelong or Hawthorn. He won’t want Richmond they have a long stay at the bottom coming up. None of those have the draft picks or the salary space for a salary that he wants without releasing a well paid very good player. Don’t relent MFC a top five draft pick and a good player or he remains at the MFC.
  3. Petty needs to be returned to the backline a KPF he is not. It’s time in 2025 for Jefferson and Fullerton to be played. Jefferson has had two years at VFL level if he cannot play well at senior level in 2025 then we have wasted an early pick. As for Fullerton why is he on the list? Either play him or admit he is not good enough and clear the spot. We are not going to win a flag in 2025 so it is time to find out who has senior level ability and who doesn’t. Another potential NGE is Verrall. Has played two seasons at Casey and just looks like a slow VFL player. I cannot remember him being named in top Five players. 2025 is his last year on the list for mine. We need a competent second ruck to take Max’s place when the inevitable injury happens Verrall is not that player.
  4. Thanks Bobby but I doubt it not while they keep picking chiefs from the old boys club.
  5. Wow, a thread on me I don’t believe it. Physically I am fine the rest somewhat less. the main reason for my absence is the AFL I daily find some thing I disagree with. e.g. This time last year a player knocks out Gus, ends his career and doesn’t not even get a reprimand and plays on in the grand final, a few days ago Kosi bumps a pies player knocking him out by accident IMO and he gets 3 weeks. Once again the powerful get off and the less so are used as a deterrent. Of course this is nothing new for the AFL however the long term build up has got to me. Another example is the reserves competition, numerous byes, games played interstate and on the same weekend the senior team is in a different state meaning 3- 4 players cannot player that weekend in either team. Even the name is a joke the VFL that now has numerous interstate sides. Add the woes of the MFC .It appears we have managed to turn a GF winner into an also rand in the space of 3 years. Now players want out with long running contracts in place. It seems to me a contact in the AFL is only as long as the player wants it to be. Sign up for five years then after 2 you want to go home and or I can see more money down the road. MFC is falling apart the President has not delivered on a home and won’t any time soon on top of that she is presiding over a medical department that sent Petracca back on with a ruptured spleen etc resulting in him wanting to leave. He wants to play with a big club, tough you have a contract honour it. Obviously it was not a worry when you signed on for big money over a lengthy period. Still no home! And there won’t be anytime soon. The Vic government is broke there will not be any money to develop Caulfield this decade. So here I am, over the last three months very disillusioned . Aussie rules has been a passion for me my whole life I hope I get the passion back soon. In the mean time I have been busy with basketball watching my Granddaughter and going with her and my daughter to watch the finals of the Female A1 finals. I am really enjoying the basketball after an absence due to the closure of the Melb. Tigers from the NBL. No sitting outside in a Melbourne winter getting home after midnight. There are things outside of the AFL that are good and very enjoyable. Life is full of uncertainties so who knows what 2025 will bring. In the mean time ladies and gentlemen enjoy life.
  6. If we are going by last weeks play against the bombers I would say he will never be picked as a ruckman. He got towelled up good and proper by the bombers ruck. I now understand why we went with Roo and company. Unless he has a contract for 2025 I think he will be gone at years end.
  7. Spot on Bbo, last year barely 10 months ago. The initial response to Gus getting knocked out cold was no case to answer. The AFL then started a case after the public back lash. They never wanted the pies player suspended in a final series. Under this week's rulings he would have been suspended for the entire 2024 season.
  8. I wouldn't chook. He is a VFL player. NQR at senior level.
  9. Kentfield has done nothing. After watching this game I now know why we went last night without a reserve ruckman. A poor lot by any measure.
  10. Yes the weed was going to the champion. Who needed Tmac.
  11. I am streaming but no sound. Anyone with same problem.
  12. I actually think Petty played better than the stats suggest last night.
  13. He has been a great recruit. I think he has played every game this year. A great effort for a first year player.
  14. Agree on both counts bb. How many wanted milkshake out 2 years ago!
  15. You were very confident pre the premiership year LH. Where will we finish this year?
  16. After canning Roo for his ruck work he actually did a good job last night. Perhaps we need to trade Max. Only joking. I checked the fixture this morning and every home game is at night for the rest of the season. Of course who knows when the last game will be. I am too old for these winter night games. They are great for the club financially but [censored] for me.
  17. Well this completes a perfect sport weekend so far. Pies lose last night, Dogs win today and Dees tonight.
  18. Don’t like “Dees” binman?
  19. Beggars belief, why do we have Fullarton and Verrall on the list?
  20. It is amazing last Sunday there was a constant stream of people going in and out obscuring the play. Why the hell do they bother going, I swear some of them would have missed the best part of a quarter. It's not as though they wait till a goal was scored.
  21. No I watch kayo and if you are on I turn off the sound.
  22. Free to air tv is a dieing system in the 21st century. Streaming is killing it, that and new forms of advertising that is targetted at the potential customer. The days of three commercial network is fast coming to an end. This decade will see the end of one or two networks. The future is a small number of free to air networks and multiple levels of streaming. I only watch 7, 9 and 10 on a very limited basis. 90% of my viewing I now pay for. I can watch what I like when I like. Because of decreasing revenue the commercial channels have gone down lower cost programing. The numerous scripted " reality " programs are the result. Now that I have fixed my Kayo problems I already watch almost all my sport on them. I have 3 pay stream companies and Kayo. Now fortunately I can afford them but whether channel seven survives or loses footy is of small consequence to me. Sadly perhaps I think it is inevitable. Free to air tv is dead in the water. Sport streaming will take up the slack from 7 and AFL will get similar amounts of money to now.
  23. He has played 17 senior games. He is no rookie on his first game. This is the exact reason he is on the list. In the games I have seen is as quick as any ruckman and better than a lot, he can take a mark and score goals. Play the guy or move him on at season's end.
  24. My view is he should be in the forward line all game. We are using him simply because there is no one else. I fear the alternatives at Casey are worse than the Roo. But we won't know if we don't give them a go.
