I have been complaining about this for years, just another team to draw players from the pool which gets lower by the day. So instead of having 5 teams that have no chance of playing finals mid year we will have 6 or 7. Add the player contracts which will see even more players trying to get out of the bottom half dozen teams. Essendrug is a view to the future for more teams.

Spot on bb. Brown played a big part in our team in 2021. Geelong has shown over years how good grabbing a good quality player near the end of his career can work. I forget his name but they grabbed a hawthorn player at the end of his career a few years back who ended winning the Norm Smith.

I have no problem with those de listings, clearly over the last two year we lost out in the talent pool especially in the 20 to 30 range of players. Add VFL players who never showed more talent than VFL level e.g Verrall. I am no big fan of Spargo and he has become injury prone over the last couple of seasons. He can walk away with a premiership medal that is something a lot never achieve. Changes need to be made!

The thing I like about this decision is that not a single word came from the club during the process. Too often clubs have serious leaks including the mfc. Not a word of comment from the club. A Solid effort.

As you are no doubt aware brownie the VFL must be the worst run sporting competition in Australia. I think they don't want to subtract one fan from the WAFL. They want ever possible pair of eyes on the WAFL. In fact they will probably count the fans watching by individual eyeballs. 20k eyeballs looks a lot bigger than 10k spectators.

Agree DS. We have 3 NQRs in Fullerton, Jefferson and Dull. You mentioned Adams, hmm 1 poor game at senior level to his credit. Being average in your first game is half expected. But Poor! Let's say that the job is in front of him.
