  1. After the St Kilda disaster and Simon came out with that silly thing about some good things in the last 4 minutes my mind went Simon" I think you just ended your career at the MFC". Why now? Perhaps there were things going on with players seeing their futures elsewhere. What we thought about rumors of Lever and North might actually be true. Perhaps there were others!
  2. In those games they did have some of there better players on the field who were missing yesterday. They only thing you can take from Saturday's game is we won. Anything else has to tempered by our openents or lack there of.
  3. Nasher I have been a Dees supporter since 1960, 65 years ! I am used to watching games that were over at quarter time. Decades of them have never affected me like that Saints game. My big love is now watching my Granddaughter's play basketball. They give me way more than the MFC.
  4. Every year I tune into early games in the season to see if my decades long addiction to the MFC with stretch to the womans game ( have I got that right I usually suffer the embarrassment of using the wrong term). For many years the standard of a lot of teams was poor and the games terrible to watch meaning I seldom watch more than half a game. The overall standard has improved, however I have still struggled to be interested compared to other sports that start in Spring. This year I have the added problem of being witness to the collapse of the men's team into irrelance and after the St Kilda game I doubt I will ever trust the men's team again. I hope this year turns the corner for me. So ladies give me something to smile about in 2025 footy.
  5. After 8 days ago Nasher I wonder will I ever trust the MFC to play 4 quarters again. I will go on Sunday as it will be my last game chance for 2025 which is against what I said last Monday. it is to concentrate on 3- 4 players who I hope will be our future.
  6. Sadly BB I think the only left to decide is the winning margin. Dogs by 7 goals 2 behinds. I cannot see our Forward line with the key forwards of JVR and Petty kicking a winning score. Fritz, milkshake and Kossy will need to kick 4 each to give us a chance. It's no big surprise but their forwards will slaughter us. It might be a wild thought but next Sunday how about we play Petty in the backline. Yes a wild thought forget I mentioned it. PS predictive script! If I wanted to type Kissy I would have typed Kissy on the first try, after the 3rd try it finally got the message.
  7. $1.05 I reckon Wrecker.
  8. Stop looking, it is the new name for the Unley oval where Sturt plays in the SANFL.
  9. Ox you are shooting the messenger. Her article is spot on. We have been led terribly by our board over the last 2 years. How on earth do you appoint a ceo with no football management experience who cannot start for 6 months?
  10. But rumpole you have to discount yesterday because of the quality of the opponent. That wce team would struggle at VFL level.
  11. If you look at our form mid season against the better sides then we should be a 50/50 chance against these last 3. But after twice being defeated by the saints in the last 5 weeks and once when we 7-3 goals in front at 3/4 time I have zero confidence in our ability to lose by less than 6 goals. Just looked at the scores for the saints / North game, it's taken the Saints 3 quarters to establish any sort of lead over North. I am still dumbfounded how we lost either game especially the last one 8 days ago.
  12. I thought I knew the names of most ovals that AFL is played on around the country. But where is Thomas farm oval?
  13. You are shooting the messenger. The theme of her article is imo 100% correct. The board has made decisions resulting in no President or CEO for the best part of 12 months. That means very few decisions made waiting for the new arrivals to appear. I am also not convince Smith wanted the job.
  14. Any days that ends with a pies loss is a very good day.
  15. There will be 30k dogs supporters add 10k for us. yep could get close to 40.
  16. Any pod cast this week guys or are you like me still trying to recover from the saints game.
  17. Using the Trump crowd counting method no doubt QD.
  18. I wonder how many actually paid?
  19. Do we know the attendance figures for today? I cannot find them anywhere.
  20. Yep they are hardly a quality opponent.
  21. I took that to mean he didn't have an opponent of any quality DubDee.
  22. While I haven't seen the game Joe I can only say on Tmac. Why was he out for so long. Yes another year.
  23. Spot on binman you have been saying similar for a while. In some ways I feel a little sorry for The coach. It appears no back up from above HO.
  24. A very good question DiD.
  25. I think we are safe!
