Come from a family of early leavers DV8, all good at present. The list is not GF material yet and has at least three years to get there if everything goes well and we are talking about the MFC. Watched Carlton yesterday and their list shows more promise that ours in 2019.

2019 is effectively now over for him, not that it ever started. Get him right for 2020 so we can see if we bought anything or are we just contributing to his Super fund.

I have not seen either player in the flesh Ernest but Bedford and Chandler have been putting up modest figures in their games so far. Yes I know it is very early days but nothing wonderful yet vs Spargo who played very well at Casey in his first game even if he did get reported. Everyone shouts me down but he is too short and of average skill level. Sparrow on the other hand is a bit bigger and looks like he will develop into a good player. I am with you on Petty.

I will be happy if we yo yo up to the top four next year SWYL. I know we wil not win a flag in my lifetime so will be happy with the wins that a top four result would produce in 2020.

At least we Know Garlett can do the job, the other one never will.

He is our second best scorer! When we are getting belted every week and cannot score to save ourselves the second best of that lot does not say much.

If you were in his shoes which club would you join? Not a hard one to answer.

He was the steak knives in the May deal DJ. Between injuries and concussion issues was never going to make it at GCS. Similar is happening already with us. Sadly his body is not up to the rigours of AFL.

I agree Wiseblood it is hard to see how it could make them worse and who knows it might brighten up a few. I still think the major problem are the injuries we have, we are playing a lot of VFL standard players who would not be getting a look in if the injuries were lower. Add the loss of form of a few plus I have little doubt a couple are playing with injuries as well. Add in that we saw on prelim day last year we are still players short of a GF list the result is likely to be a near bottom finish this year. I don't think rest periods/ honest meetings etc will make much difference, as my father used to say it is hard to pull up your socks when you don't have any on!

Essendon has won two premierships since my daughter changed to the bombers and while I have not checked the details they have won one hell of a lot more games than the MFC in that time. As for my GD you can guarantee she will enjoy watching the cats way more that the Dees over the next decade or two. Oh a question how many flags have we won in the last 54 years?
