My would be a member of a club with 100 000 members? Most games you would struggle to get a seat and you cannot buy reserved seats any longer. Makes no sense to me. I have friends who are long term members of Richmond they have had reserved seats for years and tell me that if you ever gave up your seat you would never get another. They cannot get seats for their grand Children. I don't go to melb games at the G that are the home games of the Tigers and Pies now. Just too hard.
  2. May well be the brightest boy at the club. Has my vote.

Beware of Magpies bearing gifts RG? Sorry small joke.
  4. It is days like today that AFL players earn their salaries. Too hot for me inside in front of computer and TV with cooling running.
  5. Wow jr that is a big one. Does that mean we cannot win without him?
  6. That may be your most profound comment of December Mr. Leg. 100% correct.
  7. Not sure about how the top end affects results but at the low end it has an effect. If you are too short imo it impacts your ability. If you are too short( whatever that is ) you have to be way better than players just a few cm taller. In today's AFL world at senior level you have to be very good if you are short. If you are not very good you will not be a regular best 22 player.

Glad you realised who pays the bills and calls the tune Ernest. For a while there I thought you imagined the AFL had spectators intetests at front of mind.

Not many Ernest, many are tarred with the same brush. Still enjoy NBA and NFL but I know they are not paragons of virtue. My problem with big time sport Ernest is there is too much money involved which leads to Performance drug taking and the participants losing track of the real world. I used to go to NBL games but they deleted my team and as a result I cannot find the same interest. Over things take up the space in my life.

And you have a nice day too!

After the lead up to sandpaper gate and the event itself I have lost interest in the Aust Cricket team. Arrogant bunch of overpaid sports people who would not know the real world if it bit them on the [censored]. More than Happy for India to win the series. For different reasons but they have fallen into the "cycling " twilight zone for me.

I have no problem with Sunday games. Would rather those than Thursday and Saturday nights.
  13. Lovely day to be at Goschs paddock, pity I am elsewhere.

No email / letter Barney. Funnily I seem to get all communication concern requests for money. Oh well very few things in life are perfect.
  15. Fairly accurate Cards. See above.
  16. All of that may be true and I accept a number of people like yourself would enjoy it. The DEE Army already exists as witnessed by the people at the two MCG finals and a sizeable group that traveled to Perth. My premise is that I don't think the creation of one would increase ability of the playing group. Now I am not saying you and others don't need or deserve one. I just believe the benefits are over stated. Having one or not will not change my devotion to the MFC since 1960. I hope you get your wish.

Now Barney be nice. Yes I am a paid up member would you like me to send you a photo of my membership? Already paid up for 2019. I was going to up grade but in early all up grade memberships were full.
  18. LH a members / supporters area is the bottom of my list. Now I know that there are probably people who would love this feature and if it attracts new / younger members then great. But I doubt it makes any difference to our on field performance so it is expendable in my view.

First is definately needed the second is optional.
  20. Probably strained lifting his wallet Mr. Shadow.

I suspect Mr Pert has discovered that working for the Pies was a walk in the park compared to the MFC. The answer to almost all questions would be "We cannot afford that"
  22. old dee replied to Dee Dee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
That is what I was told, very confident that is correct
  23. If we still had a chance of getting money from the state government it is probably now being used to fund the cost of the Justice system Royal Commission and pay outs to criminals.

I went off cycling a few years ago when the were the biggest drug takers in sport Ernest. I have not been able to take it seriously since. Has some similarities to the Victorian justice system or perhaps that should be the Unjust system.
  25. So that's how much they think I am getting in the next contract!
