Agree Tricky, the simple fact is it is only the players who can win the game in the end. However the instructions / game plan sure helps.

When the results are on board ( 5 easy losses in a row ) you can see we are travelling poorly. Then you look at the side and see the better players in poor form and add in too many players with vfl level ability in the side you know the result is going to be similar to the last five games. If hoping things will change based on hoping only Is what keeps you happy then good. My experience of following the MFC over the last half century is that hoping seldom if ever works. I prefer to deal with reality as I see it.

Sadly RB he has too much weight wrapped around his DNA, slow and has never had much of a tank. Also a poor kick for goal. He has seldom if ever lived up to his no.3 pick status.

I don't think pessimism has anything to do with. we have lost the last five games easily. we have players who are sadly out of form, we are playing players a large number of whom are vfl talents. And we have not changed our game plan since the introduction of 666. So by and largely we are not with it in 2019. A loss is the only logical result.

The coach has said he has not reviewed the loss with the players. So obviously they believe that nothing was wrong back then and have continued the play the same way. Four losses since then making exact same errors. God deliver us.

Similar results, ladder position. Those are the determining factors.
