Earl as you probably know I have not been a big fan of the Weid however I have watched him closely a number of times at Casey and AFL level. IMO the one thing I do not doubt is his kicking ability, he is a good kick. He missed that last kick IMO simply because of the pressure situation. Whatever his inabilities are kicking for goal is not one of them. At the recent Willy game he kicked three goals from good distances in crappy wind conditions.

Agree PSD I watched him at Willy a couple of weeks ago and he was sticking up for the kids who were getting mauled by much more mature Willy players. Ended up getting report and if I am correct he got caught retaliating. Numerous Willy players did much worse. We have had our monies worth, a pity he could not have got us to a GF last year.

I have no idea what the level of his ability is but it appears to be the old easy out. Much easier to replace one coach than 20 players who are not up to it. Took us the best part of six years to make a significant improvement to the list. Why is SOS not on the way out at the same time, he is after all the archithect of their list and he has been there some time.

We should take them over. They have some good kids, a good trading ground and club facilities. Just pander to the Carltonites for five years by using the jumper every now and then. we will pick up 10% of their supporters and have a great facility in inner Melbourne. It would be way cheaper than all the hair brain schemes suggested to give us a home.
