The total area is not large and surrounded by uni buildings, I am a low level follower of Uni Blacks and I struggle with how we would get approval to effectively throw out both Uni Blacks and Uni Blues teams. Stranger things may happen but I cannot see it.

Agree RN from what I saw yesterday we are down to the bottom. The problem is we have very large injuries and have now added Hibbert to the long term list. Whatever else we have done wrong the injury list is easily the biggest problem, no team could sustain the injuries we have and still be up in the first eight teams.

Elsternwick was investigated as part of the PJ instigated survey and what I wrote were the findings. What people need to understand is it was a very intensive study and nothing in inner Melbourne was suitable. There were two main failings to all the alternatives. - the available land was not large enough to fit a G playing area ( or even close ) and there was no space for support building and parking. - local and state government had no desire to allow changes to the area e.g. Elsternwick being in the middle of a concentrated housing area. As well the same bodies had no desire to consume public parklands.

It is almost right next to tulla airport not Essendon airport. Was out there Friday night a 2 minute drive to the terminal buildings.

Of the MFC players at Casey the only one would be Petty and will he was ok at windy Hill, he did not put on a display that looked like it was AFL standard. Expect some gap filling in the back line. Smith should play along with the giant. Baker played ok but not a pick me game IMO.

Spot on DJ, expecting the MCC to do much for us is folly, they have ignored us for 50 years why would a change of heart happen now when the majority of members in 2019 are members of Hawthorn, Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton.

We gifted them the Olympic park facility, so no ground near the G is left. They play at our home ground as though it is there own and have facilities. All forms of government are falling over themselves to gift them money and facilities. The MCC make way more money out The Pies than us. We share every thing in the G area with other codes. we are doing just fine!

I was there yesterday DJ, a couple of years since my last visit and back then they had a decent scoreboard. I fortunately took my binoculars, yes folks it is that bad. I was surprised that Casey won so easily, Preuss took them apart even though I though he was used sparingly. It might be my imagination but I reckon he was used sparingly with a trip to WA in mind. I watch a couple of players closely ( well I tried ). while I thought Sparrow and Petty did there jobs well at this level Baker was the only one that looked worthy of a senior game later in the season. Of the kids I liked the game of Chandler, he was probably not in the top half dozen but showed some promise. If we don't pick Smith for a forward role in the team for Perth we have rocks in our heads. While he is never going to be a very good player at senior level he is a solid mark and a good kick for goal. Yesterday he was used around the centre quite a bit with good effect. Based on yesterday's form he and the Giant are the only ones I would pick for senior duties in WA.

Yes to all that Mr. Shadow. I was at the 2017 AGM and PJ said as you say. From memory he said that they ( MFC ) commissioned a $100k + study that showed nothing large enough was available close to the G. Docklands was mention as there being plenty of land big enough but at that time there was no plan under consideration by the government or the city council.

That won't happen until we get a substantial number of the injured back. The simple fact is that between now and at least the June break there is no one else at Casey better.

Club facilities for supporters are grossly overrated in the 21 century. What we need are the best conditions for our players/ FD and to attract potential players. The rest is nice to have but far from a necessarity.
