Agree RR I have no idea how good our coaching staff were in 2011. I suspect that JC could not have done much better with our playing list in 2011. It probably boils down to the head coaches directives. The coaching panel can be removed, it is not so easy to make wholesale changes to the playing list.

I hope your right but you know I am not confident. After watching the GF on Saturday you really understand how far away we are from that standard. I think I have resolved to myself that it is at least 5 years off if ever. I got up yesterday monrning and thought that the best I can hope for is that we stay fianiancially viable , to get into the top 6 and have more wins than losses. A GF victory is probally a pipe dream. But I have had that dream for a very long time and nothing much has changed so that will probably sustain me. Go Dees

Oh Lighten up Mate. I sure we all enjoyed the game and the fact that the cats played so well etc. It is just a bonus who they beat. For all those who want to shelve Fitzpatrick have a look at Hawkins today. This guy IMO has been next to useless for the majority of his time in Geelong Seniors. And today he played well and sunk the pies in the last half. These big guys do take time I might add I would have cut him by now so shows how much I know! . PS just shows how hard they are to win. The Pies were the best team all year and got rolled on the day it counts the most.

I thought it was 3 years which would mean 2012 is the last but you could be right. Either way 2012 would need to be a lot better than this year or it will be all over IMO
