Brad Green to keep the captainesy and have a good year. Davey to continue his 2011 form and be delisted at season end. Sylvia to finally have a good year and win the B&F. Dees to finish 10th. and only get beaten by 8 goals at Geelong.

No problem HT at that time I have usually OD'd on single malt. I have no problem in getting him, I think he is just what we need.

HT I am not sure why you are so worked up. At no stage did I say that we should not chase him. I just don't see it happening . Not sure why I need to get out and smell the roses. The simple fact is the MFC has seldom been seen as being a top club. Us supporters IMO think that players are falling over them selves to come to the MFC. The reverse is actually the case. IMO There are better offers to Goddard than the MFC can put up at present. Other clubs can offer him a chance at a flag in the next couple of years and high salary. I do not believe the MFC can beat that offer at present.

I have a vision of a mean bastard bursting open a pack to mark in the goal square. Goes back and kicks the winning goal. Then gives the bird to the Pies fans. Fined $5000 but says "who cares we just won the flag". Well I can dream can't I?

Mate if you can sell that to Goddard you are in line for Steve Jobs position. Beside die hard Demon supporters no one else believes we will be playing in a GF in 2 -3 years. We are 5 years away from a GF, Goddard will be retired by then. Put aside your loyalities Would you join the MFC if you were Goddard? I would not there are better propositions around.

What I think I was suggesting was the MFC could not offer him a high salary or the opertunity to play in GF in the next few years. GWS would trump us on salary and a number of other side could give him the chance at a flag.

If you were Goddard why would you come to the MFC. At his age I would have thought that you would be looking to achieve one of two things. I chance at playing in a premiership or maximise your earnings. He will get neither at the Dees. At the blues he has a chance at a flag and GWS will pay way more than us. Of course he might get both at Freo and he knows the bloke there.

On SEN today they said Mclean was on $400 000. x 3 years = $1.2 million. I reckon I would play for the Bullants for that! You have to say that the Blues did their dough on this one. Just for once we did them over. YES!

I agree Robbie it is a lot easier to modify an over confident kid than it is to build one up when it is low. I have said this often before but the MFC could use a couple of brash ready to go next year types. You Know I do not care if their fathers is a member of "hells Angles" I just want someone who is tough and can play well.

I find it hard to believe that we will do much in the coming trade week. we have only a couple of players that appear to want to change camps i.e. Warnock and Bate. Bate has a contract so little will happen there unless the offer is good. Warnock is uncontracted and he could sit out till the later draft. There does not appear to be too much on offer so not a lot to chase. Also I reckon Neeld will want to form his own opinion on the list before he makes many changes. I fully expect to be bored as usual. PS why is it that a lot of Demonlanders believe you can trade an ordinary player for a good one. If you want someone good you have to put something good on the table. If we think a player is ordinary what do you think another team sees them as? If you cannot get a game with a team that finished 13th you must be ordinary!
