I do not think they are, I know numerous Passionate Collingwood supporters who are not members. e.g. my wife She is gave up her membership a couple of years ago because it was too hard to go. i.e. games are always crowded, hard to get a reasonable seat, bad language, drunks, getting home from night games etc. However she watches every game on TV, still buys scarfs, team photos etc. In contrast the only MFC supporters I know are members ( well a couple who drop in and out ) The whole purpose of this info is to show that when you are selling AFl gear a store will know to order 100 Collingwood jumpers and 5 melbourne ones. The Westpac Banks Knows 1 miilion supporters will notice that they are supporting their team I think it is spot on. How many non Member Melbourne members do you know?

You give me far too much credit "Goag" It is a fairly big Boat and I doubt my jumping up and down will worry to many. But if 5000 jumped up and down who know what would get wet! At the end of the day I just want the MFC up in the top 25%. I doubt there are many on here who do not want the same thing. I think we all support the same team. Go Dees

This is a little disingenous Pitmaster. Both gave there best for the dees in Bruce's case over a long period of time. IMO it was not all his wish to end it with the MFC in the fashion that it played out last year. Some of the blame for that is squarely at the feet of DB and some in the FD. Just look at the way we treated Junior. The MFC is not without blame here. I am sad for them that they are not playing on the weekend. PS Bruce was also out injured for quite a few games so that did not help his total

The danager in this Pello is that BG was struggling to justify his position in the team for a large part of the year. If that should continue in 2012 we will have the distraction of the media beating up on melbourne for playing him. It also cannot be good if the playing group starts to think he is not justfying his spot in the team. IMO there is far more danager in keeping him as Captain compared to taking the job off him.

So on your advise I should just sit here, say nothing, do nothing and be happy with being shat on? Sorry I have done that for way too long.

If 37000 members wrote a letter to the AFl do you think they would get the message. It would not change anything but it might make them think about the next move they make. And more important IMO it might unite the club. "well it is them and us now" We are way too meek at the MFC

Pello do we know that the report was ignored? We know it has not been made public and rightly so IMO. To my knowledge no one at the MFC has ever made a comment about it. However I along with 40 000 others would love to see it but I am not holding my breath

It beggars belief that AFL employed people wagger on the footy. After all the publicity of recent times Why? I know Gambling can be a serious problem for people but - Why would do it yourself, He was dobbed in intially by someone who saw him at a TAB - There are a million things to bet on besides AFL football. I think the mantle of the young leader at the MFC has now been officially been given to JT. Noticed he was the presenter of the "100% Melbourne" video. Seems an easy decision to me, best young player by a country mile, loyal seems a nice kid and comes over very well. The Vice captainsy looks a shoe in to me
