WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
old dee replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think we should get him tanked a couple of times, start the rumour that he hit a bouncer at a night club, say his broken jaw has depressed him and changed his personality. He now disobeys his Mother and father and generally is of low moral fibre. Then swoop when everyone passes on him. Well it worked with Darling! Jokes aside DC just use whatever it takes if that is pick three then secure him -
Gee doctor Cook at Full Forward. Nothing like throwing him in at the deep end. Not sure I want to ruin the kid for twelve months Freo Backline would crack him into 3 bits in the first quarter. All for giving the kid a run but can we ease him in a little please

Etihad stadium and why we will win this weekend

If we get Green and Davey back we get two guys who can hit targets DemonWA. That should improve things over the last two weeks, still think we would need a dramatic turn of events to win. But who knows. -

Sounds a wise idea jaded. Result will be between 8 and 10 goals Will depend on how many kicks Mckenzie, Bail, and Trengove spray into the forward line or out on the full. Green and Davey seem certain to play so I will revise that 5 goal win to freo. -
Yes afte r Yes after loosing to the Lions by Ten goals and Tigers by 2 goals 11 you would think there might be a chance for a forward who kicks 4 goals. If he is not played this week why did we recruit him
-
May be praying for a Miracle there dee-luded I would think he will be out more than one week. Certainly won't fly to Darwin Back for the GWS might be a good result
-
Certainly has not been up till now. what we need is a mix of experience and Young guys. We did not get that from 2008 - 2011, almost all kids and we are seeing the benefit no good senior players. The match commitee may no have given up but I would bet London to a brick that most weeks they Know we have little chance of winning with this lot.

People keep saying that why? In addition I don't really care if he is a good player get him.

JH the above suggests the MFc is a spot young players would aspire to. Not being smart but why would a young player with a choice be keen to join the Dees? There are a lot of clubs offering a lot more and the chance to play finals in the next 5 years? IMO only the offer of big bucks would get a GWS player to join the Dees otherwise he is replacing GCS with similar at the MFC.

Which is worse: our skills or decision making?

Trouble is 71 Molloy we have a lot of players who are poor decision makers with below average skills. -

Yes McQueen I am confident the MFC will get It right just unsure I will live long enough to see it Mate -
Me too please

Robbo24 If Sylvia's shockers keep him out of the bottom ten then it just proves how poor the bottom ten are at the Dees. But I will change my comment to 1 good games and 6 ordinary ones. Probably fits better, when Col has 6 good games and 1 ordinary one I will be impressed

I get a lot of enjoyment from Demonland It makes the last 5 years bearable Trying to donate but Sorry Mate still will not work for me. I will try again later or Can I send you a cheque?
-
Yes Robbo it is good to see him playing a better game on Saturday. But this is classic Sylvia a couple of good games and 6 shockers. I will be impressed when he is in the top 5 for the next 8 weeks. Until then it is just classic Col

I did not realise it Biffen but you must also believe in the Father Christmas, the easter Bunny and the Tooth fairy. The crowd on Saturday was 46 700 and at least 26 000 of those were Tigers If the crowd is above 12 000 at death park I will be amazed

you are not alone Moonshadow, there are plenty of us with similar feelings. Hang in there it has to get better it does doesnt it -
If you spend most of your games playing for Casey Seconds then there is a good chance you are no much chop.
-
The planets have half aligned 3 times in 56 matches I would be unbelievable happy if they take him,
-
950 - Players familes and freinds 5000 Members who would go to the opening of a MFC memo 3000 Freo fans Total 8950
-
That should be enough to get him a game in front of about 6 from yesterdays game.

Those five words cover it perfectly c84 I marvel at how we can recruit so many players who cannot hit a target. It is mind blowing. -
guys we are a very poor team just look at yesterday and where we are on the ladder. Our position is just not because we have a lot of injuries. Even before the injuries we were poor and have been for 4+ years . I think it is likely that all four on the UFA list are unlikely to be with us in 2013. Green - must nearly be his last year, good games at casey mean nothing with Greens skill level, I think he will be retired unless a miracle happens in the next 6 weeks. Rivers Bate and Dunn are serviceable footballers who must be looking at the Dees and saying no finals here for 3 - 4 years, I will try my luck somewhere else if I can get a reasonable offer. Battram - his knee problems may mean he never plays again, could be delisted because of them. Bennell Oh please he is useless. Bail Cannot kick to position of dubious value Petterd- seems to be no longer capable at AFL as the Game has changed in the last couple of years, showing little at casey, for the high jump I think. Spencer - I like him but I struggle to see him as a Top six team player. Moloney- seems to have fallen very quickly but he can leave if he gets an offer he wants to take. If not I would say sorry mate it is over. That is 10 players that I doubt will be around in 2013 If 3 stay from that list there is 7 to go leaves lots of room for recruits and lightens the salary Cap considerably. Rookies Nicholson - cannot kick to position Gone Evans- Average player with a bad back Gone Lawerence - not good enough Gone PS One LJ may be at her majestys pleasure. I think there are no end of players that cannot take the Dees forward, a number will be gone by the end of 2012. The trick will be to find replacements who are better.
-
I would have said bloody tragic Redleg and I doubt it is mate. We have more problems than can be fixed in one years draft / trading period. Sadly it will probably 2014 before we get out of the bottom half dozen. I think the period 2008 - 2011 has been largely wasted. Not a lot to show for all those early picks. Ahh the life of a Dees supporter.
