How can you be so sure? Looks like someone going through the motions to me

Did you see the score? Richmond had 13 more scoring shots than the Dees. They missed goals from 15 meters out on slight angles. If Richmond had kicked anything reasonable it would have been another 10 goal slaughter. The score flattered us. You could have played any number of players in different positions the result would have been the same or worse. Two weeks in a row against teams that are not top eight we got slaughtered. Some new blood is required.

On the radar (afl.com) - under 18's prospects
old dee replied to jurrahcane's topic in Melbourne Demons
Redleg you keep saying that as if we are likely to rise higher. Port is direct above us they are 2 wins and 18% ahead the Dogs are 3 wins +% The best I can see for the Dees is GWS and CGS wins even though they might be big margins we would not bridge the 18% gap. If as I expect Port beat us in Darwin it is all over. To get ahead of the Dogs we need four wins to there nil. I think we are as safe as houses to finish third last. -
Or the week before AoB

Trade Talk, Supporter Fatigue and Neeld's Catch-22

IMO RR we need to get both a good seasoned player and the best youth we can muster. Not easy however again IMO the youth only drafting policy between 2008 and 2010 resulted in our team being made up mainly of second rate senior players and a bunch of kids trying to develop into seasoned players in a third of the time it probably takes for most kids to mature. I suspect there are large numbers of the MFC faithfull that are close to the edge of throwing in the towel. I am probably a good example,if the Dees are producing the same crap we have seen this year by the end on May 2013 I doubt I will be able to continue. My attitude will be "call me when you are half decent." I will probably get canned but right now the major thing that keeps me interested and going to games is this site. Without a bit of fun on here and the varying opinions offered I would have given up on 2012 and probably 2013. Carn the Dees but it is getting much harder -
You must be my alter ego Big Jim My wife says similar things to me ( does not help that she is a Pies Fan ) However I am giving serious thought to skipping saturdays game, other things are looking more attractive this weekend.

There is one flaw in your agruement kento80 Jones always got a fair bit of the ball, people used to complain about his disposal etc. Bennell does not get the ball in the first place, we know he is a good kick but that amounts to nil if you average few possesions a game. Jetta has been injured so much we have little idea of his worth. a min. of 6 players will leave the MFC at the end of this season we cannot keep them all.

Are you suggesting this could be the "186" of attendences?

Are we preparing to give up our draft picks?
old dee replied to Hampton 22's topic in Melbourne Demons
you say that as if we have a choice. In the end we have no choice they will do what they will do. But after the last 5 years I will believe they know what they are doing when it happens. talk is cheap we have heard every possible excuse over the last 5 years. Actions are what will impress me. -

Would I swap the Blues last 4 years for the MFC's and the next 3 In a heart beat -
Ok 6.375 are better than 30 from bail as they actually go to someone.

Amuses me this having to pay 95% of the cap. The real reason it exists is the Players union. They want the Max. spent on players and have no concern for clubs having to pay more than a lot of players deserve. Obviously clubs like the dees do not have the same level of talent as the swans. But the MFC have to pay the same for far lower result / Talent Clubs should be able to pay a lesser figure if they don't have the cattle. As better cattle arrive you pay more. It should be up to the club to decide how much a player is worth.

Etihad stadium and why we will win this weekend

That may be the truest statement you make this year Pitty. It is very sad -
Good pick up rpfc I had forgotten Jones

Yes that is a problem RR Another one of the butcher brigade

I worry about this kid How good would he be in a good side I can just imagine him at Collingwood or Hawthorn His reputation would be 10 times what it is right now. there would be no shortage of offers around to his management. I hope for some strange reason he likes playing with dees. If the kid wants to play finals any time in the next 5 years his plans may be elsewhere. He is the prime one of the un signed group

Robbiefrom13 A large amount of what you say maybe true However we have draft picks that must be used I think it is 5 in the first three rounds ( comp picks have been activated ) I cannot see us delisting less than 5 and could easily be 6 or 7. Inspite of what you say We are currently a poor team You do not end up effectively Bottom with 1 genuine win if you have talented players even if there are other problems. Our average losing score screams not enough talent. You are also assuming no one wants to leave the MFC IMO there could easily be 4 - 5 players who want out. The nett result is IMO we will have 6 new players in 2013 and it could easily be 8. Some have to be replaced they will never be good enough as the do not have the required skill level. Get over it guys this is the AFL 2012 free agency and all.

Mate all he has to do is stare at us during the warm up that will do it. I reckon he could get GWS up against the Dees -
If you kick it out on the full or to the other team it is often a worse result than not getting the ball in the first place. Two weeks in a row we have missed Davey's accurate kicking, Bail has murdered us with his kicking out on the full or direct to the opposition. it is hard to kick goals when you give the ball to the opposition
-
I agree with you on Cook but Couch is not a kid he is 24 Why did we recruit him and elevate him before the first game? Give him a game mate we are constantly losing by 10 goals how can he do worse than about 10 in the team.

How could I pass up that offer Email me the contract
