  1. It has been asked elsewhere but I will ask again "what does Bail bring to the team"? I have yet to see him play a game that would justify his inclusion the following week. But the FD seem impressed e.g. they give him a game on Sunday after being injured for 4 weeks. However the the alternative was probably Bennell Oh well yes play him next saturday
  2. He may be the "mystery" injury for this round?
  3. I think it is now 6 7 weeks since the injury ( swans game ) funny the way the thought process works In my mind he is 2013 ( NT providing ) Past experience has shown he takes forever to get over injuries So when 2- 4 weeks appeared I thought 10 weeks.
  4. Sorry RR I cannot possibly agree with you. The MFC has done way too much tanking and trying to be clever. By all accounts the kid is in the top 5 players in this draft. Use whatever pick it takes and get on with improving the team and start winning games on a regular basis. The rest is crap.
  5. I share your frustration Jaded. But he might just be still injured.
  6. There is one flaw in what you say. The players have been around from 3 years to 10 years. The coach has been around 13 games That earns him a little more time dont you think?
  7. Too late mate I am already in the sheds drinking stubbies. PS did not notice it cfh
  8. You may not be right with this. It seems whenever Jurrah gets injured it takes him twice as long as most to recover. Also I do not understand why the FD would consider the NT thing a reason to leave him out. Can you explain why please?
  9. Spot on cfh. I would suggest it will probably take 3 - 4 years
  10. I will try harder in future binman
  11. I agree with you cfh but do not kid yourself he is never going to be a Rich. The funniest thing about discussing JM is that we all sound as though we have a choice. He will be at the MFC for a long time, with the exception of Jones he is the best we have. He at least knows how to get the ball which puts him a long way in front of a lot of others on our list
  12. I am not picking on Mckenzie Nasher But that is the problem with about 10 on our list. You cannot make multipule changes in one season So we are stuck with a whole lot of players who cannot hit targets
  13. By the way Big Jim JW rolled his ankle early in Sundays game and played on because we could not sub him.
  14. By the way Big Jim JW rolled his ankle early in Sundays game and played on because we could not sub him.
  15. Sorry I do not agree with your basic premise that we had a good team. Have a look at the results in 2011. The games we lost were mainly by big margins. Where was our good team that day in Geelong If our backline is so wonderfull how come it gets big scores kicked against it in 2011 and again this year. Our average losing margin is 9 goals. It is not Neeld fault. DB bailey denuded the senior players group e.g Our captain and filled the ranks with kids. Get used to the fact we do not have a good team. We have a few good players, a lot of average players and almost no game breakers. No matter who the coach is we would have the same problem. Almost no good senior players and a bunch of kids
  16. The problem with poor disposal JL is it helps the other team start an attack. I remember four times on Sunday his clangers into the forward line went straight to lions players who sent the ball into their forward line. Two ended in Lion Goals. On one occasion he picked out the one lion among four melbourne forwards. He is good at tagging and clearing from the centre, Simon Black or Rich he is not!
  17. I suspect a few of them are not as good as we thought they were. We have IMO a number of average players that no amount of training / pre seasons will change. They simply are not good enough.
  18. Has all the ability in the world but that has not made him a good player. Pity he did not have a few of Grimes other qualities
  19. Yes I thought I would look at yesterdays game from a directly overhead position!
  20. Spot on H_T IF there was the worse kicking award these two would have tied for the honour yesterday. His poor kicking seriously restricts Mckenzie value.
  21. Don't think your prayers will be answered P_man Cook is not up to it yet
  22. Partly true dr The MFC seemed to bome it in a fair bit as though Clark was still there. The lions tended to do what you suggest but they had Brown and Merrett who can take strong marks in crowded situations. The loss of Mcdonald was a big problem as well. And we did not help the forwards by poor kicking, Mckenzie, Trengove, Nicholson and about 3 others murdered the forwards with terrible Kicking. I really like Mckenzie because he observes the first rule of being a good footballer i.e getting the ball However a lot of his kicking is poor IMO it turns him from being a good player to an average one If he could kick like Davey he would win a browlow But alas I think he will be someway off that
  23. Pity our other captain was not playing as well.
