RR how could you possibly leave in Bennell? another 8 kick game and twice he short stepped a collison / tackles in the first six minutes of the game. No sure Tapscott should be in either.
-
It truely mistifys me how we choose so many players who cannot kick to position and who want to hand ball to each other while standing a metre apart standing still.
-
Redleg you say that as if we had a choice there is no chance we will finish higher that 3 last if fact I think there is a good chance we will finish second last. looked at the fixture again today and the only side I think we are capable of beating is GCS Based on last two weeks form the second GWS game is 50/50. GWS get to play GCS again they will almost certainly beat them. A win against us and we are level on three wins each Add the beltings we are going to get from Saints, Freo twice and North melbourne we could easily slip below GWS's percentage

WE can only hope RobbieF

I would love Eddie as Chief of the Dees We need a bit of his conviction. Cannot see what he has done wrong with the Pies. Took over when they were a rabble on and off the field. Has got them four GF appearances and a Flag. Pity some at the MFC had done as badly over the same period

Richmond's Dan Connors and Dustin Martin in trouble
old dee replied to GawnWithTheWind's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree with you DC But I am cynical enough to say he would say that would he not. I have a bad feeling about this whole episode. It would complete a perfect 2012 if it goes the wrong way. -
What I said was that we are "effectively bottom" Having two teams made of kids who have a collectively game total of 48 games in the competition below you is effectively bottom What I said was "Jodie is an honest battler who does a good job of tagging some players" Now does that not describe him? My big problem with him is his kicking is poor. Not sure you can be a very good player if your kicking is poor. If I gave up following the Dees because we were poor I would have quit around 1972. Not sure what the problem is with admitting we have a poor team when we plainly do.
-
So that means we get to finish third last twice in a row PaulRB I can feel a headache coming on, I need a good lie down but I am out of stilnox DC
-
Good news Well I glad he is not 2-4 JD 2-4 is FD talk for we don't have a clue just feed the chooks something
-
5 forwards that cannot get a game in the seniors when we cannot kick a winning score. Simply amazing
-
I don't get paid to play satyricon Slagging me won't change the way the team plays. We are bottom of the competition that is a fact, the score board does not lie. To achieve that it follows we have the worse group of players. Seems fairly logical Gives me far from any joy but facts are facts And to answer your question I will be there tomorrow.
-
Not sure that defeats RR's arguement timD The others are so ordinary it just shows how poor the competition is for a mid field spot in the Dees side. Jodie is an honest battler who does a good job of tagging some players. To expect a lot more is really pushing the envelope
-
And he cannot kick. I agree RR unfortunately he is the best of a bad lot of mid fielders. Not sure if everyone has noticed but we are effectively last on the ladder with one genuine win. We have mainly a team of second raters, IMO it is that simple.
-
All I can say RB is he is in a side that has won 6 games and belted us a few weeks ago. He is as good as Bennell and Bail. And kicks straighter than Mckenzie
-
Not sure you should worry about that one LDC We lost two tall guys from sunday and relaced them with 2 shorties. One of which could not get a kick in a football factory.

Thanks for reminding me Dr I knew as soon as I typed 70's some would remind me of a crap year after then. We have so many options! The thing that annoys me the most about 2012 Dr. is we are in year 5 of a five year rebuild and have gone nowhere. Still the easy beats of the competition, still effectively last but no first draft pick Not that they seem to have helped much. Oh well there is always the next decade to be great again Perhaps 2020's will be our period
-
May be maurie but his form before the injury was poor and he could not get a gig at senior level when we were getting belted in the first few games and had no mid field players. I would be surprised if he was dropped off the list. IMO he had a good first year and then it has been very lean since then. Just seems to be a player that has not look good under Neeld. Might have been all due to injury or my imagination I just wonder
-
Yes he did not play well against Sandy redleg but neither are about 10 in the senior team this year.
-
I would agree Dc in fact I doubt we have had a year this bad since the 70's and we still has 40% of the year to go. It could easily go down as the worst year since 64!

After observering The changes over the last couple of weeks I have come to the conclusion that at the 6th July some players have had there papaers stamped. It appears to me that Morton, Green, Couch, Gysberts, Davey and Petterd are stamped as gone or up for trade at the end of 2012 so lets play other people between now and the end of the year. All below happens in the light of a 10 Goal defeat last week. Davey is injured for one week and comes back via Casey ( after I think his best game of the year in game Vs GWS ) Green Cannot get a game when we have no forwards Couch Upgraded before the season starts plays numerous good games at Casey but cannot get a game at senior level Gysberts Has been back playing at Casey for some weeks but not selected when we are desperate for mid field players Petterd Similar to Green been back from injury for a month now, we are desperate for forwards but cannot get a game Morton We lose two talls through Injury and put in a short guy (who,s form has been poor) in preference to a tall player Looks bad for these guys Am I imagining too much? What do you all think?
-
Good summation there GOLF. It never ceases to amaze that people think clubs will want MFC players that have help us achieve third last with an average losing margin of 9 goals. I know we have a lot of injuries but I doubt we have Good Forwards and backs with a few exceptions. Whatever way you look at it we are going to need 3 -4 years to improve the player stocks. But as you suggest it is impossible to do in one year
-
Just like he has done the last 12 games!
