Sorry to be a party pooper but I don't like it. To me it is like the blazers they are a symbol of living in the past. The MFC have constantly failed for 48 years. I prefer to look to the future. Prefer the old banner with mainly current players. Just my opinion for what it is worth ( probably not much )

No free agency back then CS will either stay at the Dees ( I doubt it ) or walk to wherever he pleases and the MFC will get nil.

I really think you have hit the bottom line there WJ I often listen to the 3AW sports show where she appears on a regular basis. Over the last year she seems to have total lost her sense of humour and sounds like she is carrying the world on her shoulders. I have a couple of friends who have sounded like her in recent times. The result for them were extended times under mental care.

One thing that this trip suggests to me is that the MFC will be playing games in Darwin for some time yet.

Brisbane and Port must be worrying the AFL $4.6 million between them, if my memory serves me I think they had similar results in 2011. How long can these teams keep on keeping on? Mine is not a popular view but I struggle with the competition having 18 sides There should be one in QLD and one in SA and seven in Melbourne. Of course the only way the Vic numbers will change is if teams go broke.

That kick really irks me bb. I went home filthy that night because we should have won. Not sure I can say I have always been this deeoldfart. There have been numerous occasions when the MFC has not exactly covered itself in glory. However to make any profit this year amazes me. Something to be happy about.

Well the update is a painful experience for me. I operate from two computers -The one with the Fire Fox browser is working fine. -the laptop with Internet explorer is a disaster, numerous functions will not work. feels like the MFC all over again Oh Joy

You are correct it would mean we have been found guilty H_T I have always though they would pin something on us. They now need to IMO placate the likes of CW. I am very happy to be wrong but I cannot see us getting off scot free. Part of me wants the MFC to fight till the better end and another part wants it too be over and if that involves a penality so be it.

I don't disagree with your basic argument bb. I just thing a little perspective is in order. We have seen the false dawn a few times recently. We are coming from a very long way back. Lets not forget at the end of this season we probably had a dozen players of AFL quality out of 44. We have changed 13 the job is way from completed with our list. All the new ones will not be good enough some will not measure up. I will accept walking in 2013 followed by running in 2014

Don't confuse Desire with reality. The simple facts are we were uncompetitive in 16 games last year. We have added one good player, two average players, a number of players that were not good enough the first time round and a couple of talented Kids. The kids will hopefully show their worth over the next 2 -3 years With a little luck with injuries and the hope all the new players gel quickly we should improve. However to expect a enormous jump from uncompetitive to finals in one season is wishful thinking IMO. After being uncompetitive for most of the time between 2007 and 2012 we have no choice but to endure modest improvement each year for the next 3 years .
