I think we have to cut him a little slack Just about all the players you mention play in reasonable or good teams where they do not have to win games off there own boot. I suspect in a average to Good side he would be doing a lot better.

While I agree with your basic premise McQueen Roden and Byrnes are a bit of a gamble. Neither player was setting the world on fire at their respective clubs. Lets hope they are inspired selections

It will be interesting to see if he has one ( another gear that is ). I actually think that with more experienced players in the team in 2013 and less injuries he may not be a fixture in the side. Hopefully he will improve because IMO he did not deserve a lot of the games he got in 2012

We are at year one of an almost total rebuild. Have a long hard look at the fixture billy and see where the wins above 8 are going to come from. Wishing us better won't get the job done. It will be hard work in 2013 don't expect anything more and you may have a good year.

I understand where you are coming from billy One difference is most teams have had a settled game plan that is working to some extent, witness most teams were competitive for most of their games in 2012. Adding players is mostly tinkering. The Dees are a different proposition, we where uncompetitive in 16 games To get the best from the new personnel and game plan IMO will not happen over night. We also need to remember that some of the inclusions are speculative. Players like Byrnes and Roden could be spectacular failures Neither were setting the world on fire at their respective clubs. IMO it will take the first half of 2013 before we know the answers to numerous questions re players, game plans and coaching staff ability.

Are you sure? There are a lot of players who need to get to know each other and IMO it will take longer than the Nab cup. There are a very large number of question marks on a large number of players we have bought in. I struggle with us winning more than 7 - 8 games Max. Still that will be a 100% improvement on 2012 and if we can be competitive in most of the other games 2013 will have been a big improvement.

Agree with you on all but Sylvia. If you are a UFA at the MFC there is almost no reason to sign up before the end of the year. The world is your oyster Wait and see what happens. I will be surprised if any Free agent signs back on during their final year

As far as Clubs websites go it is somewhere between Average and Good IMO. All club web sites are basically very political, just pushing the club / league line. Good for facts but don't expect too much that is insightful. I do think though that it is slow in some areas compared to some other clubs. May well be the result of low staff numbers or are we dependant on the AFL / Telstra to do some of the work. Nett result, not the worst going around.
