  1. 140 and never stronger. The banana thread is going strong
  2. Redleg believe me you don't feel like you are there. I trekked the Kokoda a few years back we never get the humidity here like up there. I look at the moving pictures and shudder, it would be hell.
  3. I am reminded of that saying "Justice delayed is justice denied"
  4. As Craig said a few days ago " anyone can look good at training" ( not about macca ) I will believe he is a good kick when he stops hitting the opposition on the chest in real Games. Until then he is a solid player with an ordinary kick. Saying he was fourth in the B&F does not say a lot in a year when we had 1 genuine win and were uncompetitive in 16 games is not saying a lot. He was fourth best in a team that may have been the worst side the MFC has fielded in half a century. Finishing fourth at the MFC in 2012 says more about the team than about Macca.
  5. I don't remember that Biffen but I will take your word for it.
  6. That showed how good he would have been at carlton, Hawthorn or North at the time.
  7. Radical on Biffen sounds like a good idea to me. Can we can the Blazers first
  8. Thanks H_T that was great to watch, left and right foot in a time when many players kicked with only one foot. Bloody magic to watch. Imagine him playing for a good side in those days. In a GF he would have won the Norm Smith medal if they had one then.
  9. Unfortunately he played for the MFC mostly during some very lean years. There is not a lot of footage on him because they only broadcast two matches during most of that period. And as the dees were very ordinary ( sound familar ) he did make it onto small screen to often. I often think that without R. Flower I may have given up on the dees during that period.
  10. We must be both short of something to do billy But back to Macka. I don't dislike him, I just think his lack of ability in the kicking department is going to limit his contribution.
  11. Sure does billy. But I will give him one big tick. He obeys the first rule. "first get the ball" Does that fairly well.
  12. They certainly did not write that report after the game in Brisbane this year. on at least four occasions in the three quarter he streamed along the wing and hit four Lions on the chest at 30- 40 metres. They must have thought it was their birthdays.
  13. I Think that is beyond doubt nutbean. The trick is getting the "coupleof Stars"
  14. On the decline and costs too much, Carlton are welcome to him IMO
  15. Billy IMO you cannot be a "beauty" if you cannot kick, he cannot hit the side of a barn at 30 metres. Ling may not have been a long kick but he was fairly accurate over short distances. Again IMO unless his kicking improves substantially he will struggle for a spot beyond 2013 as the newly recruited players begin to develop.
  16. I don't believe that is true tatu. My understanding is you to have been 8 years with the one club. He has not been 8 years at Carlton from my memory.
  17. HG I actually believe that there are not many over the 40K mark to buy a membership. I reckon over the last couple of years we have had "buy in " by 95% of the possible dee members I think that the MFC members have been very resilent over the last 5 years I reckon that to get beyond that 40K figure we need new converts and that won't happen until we start having successful seasons. That is playing finals. Until then think of 40K as a very good figure
  18. my memory tells me Jnr MacD was a way better kick than him when he was a similar age. When you are as poor a kick as McKenzie you have to be brilliant in the others aspects.
  19. I agree Jnr. but you know that old saying "if my aunty had b---- "
