In tomorrow's Age CW says "New recruit very unhappy after first day at training. Wants out, asks is it possible to challenge drafting decisions?" "Will definitely be heading home at the end of 2014 season!" -

He is a board member not sure that earns him $1. -
I seriously doubt he will be embarrassed Redleg. And neither would I. He will be happy to play out the final year of a contract worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. I would happily play out the year at Casey for $300 000+. Would you retire and forgo the money?

Funnily enough I have never hated GWS TS is another story. I keep thinking what a great service they did us

He has certainly changed the list IMO for the best. However I will wait and see if his selections are champs or chumps. However can we be worse than 2012 I doubt it -
Yes did we really want Cook!
-
That about covers it Chippy.
-
Seems to me like we picked - kids who are capable of playing some games in 2013 - older players with the bodies to go tomorrow Not a skinny project player in sight Thank God! Time will tell how well they pan out but it is difficult to see them being worse that the players that have been dropped from the list.
-
Well reverend I am on a strict Diet at present However But Mrs OD has just gone to bed so I figure I can afford one. To the Dees mate Looks like a group that is ready to go tomorrow and not a skinny choir boy in sight.
-
I hope you were not praying between 2008 and 2011 Because no one was listening . However please move quickly to the pray session we need all the help we can get.
-
You are probably right wyl I have this gut feeling that in might go this way This years draft loss no first two picks in 2013 and a big fine ( Half a million! ) But lets wait and see
-
I don't think we know that yet. I will reserve judgement until we hear the penalties.
-
wyl this is not my plan I am trying to suggest that they might feel that taking a proactive course lessens the blow. It might work what have they got to lose? IMO it is a tactic worth taking
-
Seems an impossible task to me Redleg. I think the solution is simple start winning games and they will all shut up. After their pronouncements Winning games makes them look stupid. If we won the Grand final next year they would say the other side were very unlucky for a multitude of reasons. IMO you will never change their attitudes they are cast in concrete.
-
Not saying they should wyl But the AFL might give them one. Lets say the penality was going to be first two picks in 2013 and 14. And gets down graded 2013 to first three picks. All over at the end of 2013. That could be potentially a better result
-
If you are guilty and are trying to lessen the blows it is not IMO a bad tactic. No chance it will make the penalities worse and has the potential to lessen them.

It is amazing what being pick no.1 does to expectations. If Watts had been pick 12 would he get this much angst? I doubt it. Cook has had a 100th of the comment and he never looked like playing a game. I have and it is about time that a lot of Dees fans got used to the idea that Watts will not be the gaming breaking CHF we all hope when he was drafted. I now believe we have potentially a good player who could be the best backman we have on the list. He has the potential to play another 150 games for the MFC Not a bad result IMO
