  1. Now that is something that one would never hear from the lips of Fyfe, Dusty, Gaff, Selwood, Danger, Buddy, Zorko, Bont, Hurn, Burgoyne etc and just about any other high profile or senior player. If true he said that, it will confirm my suspicions.
  2. He also schooled Jack Viney into his head banging game style. Seriously has anyone ever seen Jones or Viney tap a ball to advantage to a team mate when under pressure. I haven’t, they seem to want to eat it all for themselves. These two have been momentum killers for years. Jones would have been delisted several years ago at most other clubs and Viney has too many bad habits.
  3. If he did know his time was up he would have retired after 2018.
  4. We had to bring in another failed coach to replace another failed coach.
  5. Still suffering from quad injury he had a coupe of weeks ago. Is Goodwin playing an out of form, obviously past it and injured Jones to get him his milestone at the expense of the team?
  6. Today is a one step forward or two steps backwards game. I hope the players eschewed bathing this week.
  7. My cousin was a mechanic for Jaguar. His advice was don’t ever buy a Jaguar. Many of the V12 engines were removed and a Ford or GM V8 installed in their place. Conversion kits were an aftermarket money spinner. They tended to overheat badly and burn valves. The straight line 6 triple carb E Type was a beauty and far better car if one could afford the service and general repairs.
  8. If only one more season. 9. As I have been saying for a long time, Jones cant play out a full game anymore. We are effectively a player short in final quarters. Nil possessions in the last quarter yesterday night reinforces a regular pattern of mediocre last quarters since the end of 2018 season. That is aside from his all too regular turnovers, lack of pace or defined role. If we make finals he will be a huge liability.
  10. A bigger concern for Jones than his turnovers is that he can’t play out a full game. Again he failed to get a possession in the last quarter and spent the last 10 minutes on the bench. Been happening all season as well as most of last season. We can get away with it during the regular season but will kill us if we get into the finals.
  11. Give Jones another season so that he can get to 300 games.
  12. There is no excuse but a fine and 200 pushups would have been sufficient punishment for the trifling.
  13. I guess he did worse than just sleep in and turn up late for training. No team drops their most effective forward in a crucial game for such a trifling.
  14. I will be interested to see how much the crowd up there supports us tonight. Though we have played numerous home games up there it always seemed like we were the away team with spectators. I can’t remember if we played the Saints up there but it will be a kick in the guts if we don’t get a clear majority of the support.
  15. How can we possibly win this game? For starters it’s prime time. We don’t do prime time. Always an opportunity to showcase our ineptitude to the rest of the country.
  16. Are we the only club that won’t defend its players?
  17. Freo seem to be happier and improving since they cast aside McCarthy and sidelined Hogan. Frankly we don’t need the drama and negativity he will bring back to the club even for a throw away pick.
  18. Collingwood bathwater must taste real good.
  19. Shame TMac who is having some issues with form and injury doesn’t receive the same love as Hogan.
  20. Like Michigan J Frog, Hogan is destined to become someone else’s problem.
  21. WTF is Jones playing? Zero possessions and zero imput.
  22. Bad weather in Perth but not as bad as the umpiring.
  23. The fairy tale goes like this; Jack gets recalled to the seniors during Ports finals campaign because of injuries to key forwards. Jack plays in GF and kicks 5 goals including the winning goal after the final siren 55 metres out on the boundary line............against us!
  24. Fyfe was universally ranked as a low second rounder or high third round pick. He was a stroke of dumb luck being picked at 20 for Fremantle or they knew something no one else did about him. We got karma big time though for having top two picks and 4 first round picks. All duds for different reasons. As the Chinese say, 4 is the unluckiest number.
