  1. Goody had to say that. Imagine the stink if said otherwise. In the meantime Weid has to perform better than his first outing and kick goals when he has the opportunity.
  2. Chris Lamb being one of the few players to get under Wayne Carey’s skin helped get him brownie points.
  3. I believe it’s not incompetence but maybe too much work for one person alone to tackle. Like he has to review in detail 9 games a weekend in minute detail and make decisions before Tuesday. Serious high profile incidents are noted quickly and bought to his attention. Others like the Langdon dumping appear on social media maybe a couple days after the incident. He needs some help.
  4. Tmac only got fined because Gerard Healy made a big stink about Mummy dropping the knee’s into a prostrate Zac Merret last week on ON THE COUCH. Of course Mummy got away with it and it was far worse than what Tmac did. Shamed Christian on TV to take action.
  5. That was quite a weak knee. Barely touched him and just a knee push with little force.
  6. And Mummy got away with it last week.
  7. I was keeping a close eye on Weid. Marked OK and worked hard but his goal kicking still is unacceptable for a key forward. Only a few opportunities but on those few he couldn’t make the distance once and missed a relatively easy shot for goal. He can’t expect to only kick goals from 30 metres out in front or a Joe the goose. Lacks the goal smarts of BBB or Tmac. Last couple of seasons he’s also missed too many pressure shots that needed to be nailed.
  8. Damn it, I forgot Oliver with 109 games. That’s seven home grown players including 3 A graders. No more the club of callow youth, tired old warriors and journeymen.
  9. A key factor to our improvement is of a generation of best 22 home developed players now reaching the sweet spot of experience and games played. Salem-115, Petracca-111, Harmes-107, Brayshaw-103, Neal- Bullen 89 and Hunt 83.
  10. I get the impression opposition teams have been sacrificing their own game to try and beat us. How many times has Lever been tagged this season? They certainly respect and fear our defence.
  11. We only concede an average of just over 27 points per second half of games.
  12. Only 2 forward 50 tackles compared to their 10.
  13. I noticed that too. There seems to be a lax interpretation for Geelong infringing. In one chain of play starting deep in Saints forward line going to the wing I saw an unpunished clear throw and two blatant dropping the ball events all committed by Geelong players. And I only watched 5 minutes of the game.
  14. There are only two clubs in WA. They can’t take back every talent who has moved East and will have to pay big if they do. The reality is most will stay East. We may lose a required homesick player but so could 16 other clubs. There are limited opportunities.
  15. Confirmed that Weid will be in this week.
  16. At least we know that Weid will be pumped up to perform. I expect 20 possessions, 4 goals, 6 tackles and 3 contested marks inside 50 from him.
  17. I believe they should get a priority pick with the caveat that they also move permanently to Tasmania.
  18. Apparently Mummy has been caught again on camera “accidentally” dropping both knees to the back of a prostrate Zac Merrett last round which only invoked cricket chirping from Mr Christian.
  19. Don’t they grow ganja on the Tiwi Islands?
  20. If there no injuries to replace then resting up to too players could be considered. There are quite a few waiting for a chance to prove themselves.
  21. Would like to hear the other parties story for balance and CCTV footage might be a more reliable indicator to what happened.
  22. Both Brown and Tmac have awkward looking kicking techniques but very effective. They know what works for them and luckily their style was not coached out of them like so many who have “one style suits all” textbook techniques but miss too often. Good to see these two expressing their individuality with success.
  23. Thats the kind of attitude that has caused us to be stranded in the doldrums for the past six decades. We need more chicken sacrifices.
  24. Very good point. Players should enter and remain free of any greasy lubricants which are misused as an aid to enable slipping out of tackles. Selwood does it all the time using his drippy greasy arms to slip tackles up over his shoulders. Not much different to a cricketer applying Teflon on their bats to hide small nicks. It’s a form of cheating. Surprised the AFL is not cracking down on the practice. Umpires should be telling offending players to dry towel the oil off and pay a free kick for non compliance.
  25. Under rare circumstances like when we need to cover a key defender injury, he’s not getting the ball and others are kicking goals like what happened last week it’s appropriate. He got back into touch and performed very well covering for Tomlinson. He can be a seriously good defender but his current upside is as a forward. It’s great we are blessed with his flexibility.
