  1. Hoping he turns out like a versatile Brad Close type player. Needs more harness.
  2. His great finals series in 2021 made it all worth it despite his numerous injury setbacks.
  3. Kozzie was in Bunbury to play in a carnival game last weekend with the clubs blessing along with Neville Jetta. https://thewest.com.au/sport/bush-and-burbs/bush-and-burbs-melbourne-demon-kysaiah-pickett-makes-shock-appearance-in-south-west-football-carnival-c-16477220
  4. Travaglia sounds like an Italian name. Y does not exist in the Italian language. Though I don’t think thats why they spelt it that way or know if they are Italian. Too many parents don’t adhere to established or common name spelling principles for their children these days.
  5. Started his career with a bang but then got bored with footy and is now running the clock down on his contract. Will be back in Port Hedland or wherever after next season.
  6. Harry McKay and Eric Hipwood were first round draft picks that season as well. Lots of big forwards to pick from. Unusual to see so many in one season as first round draft picks and the lower picks turned out the best of the lot. Obviously the talent pool was diluted.
  7. I remember his last game for us against Freo at Optus in 2022. 1 kick, 1 mark and 1 goal all in the second half. He was so bad that day he couldn’t get up the energy to celebrate his goal which came at a handy moment for us. Was lucky to squeeze an extra couple of seasons with the bombers. He only played one game in defence this season in round 24 and looked hopeless and resigned to his fate. He knew his career was over. Best wishes for the future.
  8. We should give the “Brand” a big fat thak you for this.
  9. I wonder who or what was dragging us through the mud for the previous 2 years though?
  10. I cant remember my 19th Birthday. It must have been great.
  11. You can say that about all journalism these days. Just propaganda and mushroom farming whether it’s sports, geo politics, identity, left or right, there’s bull for every demographic. 90% one reads or sees in MSM is pure bull and hype. MSM doesn’t make money from traditional sources anymore like advertising, direct sales or subscriptions like it used to. Once it could keep a modicum of independence because it could generate its own finances. Now it relies on shilling for vested interests that now pay the bills.
  12. He stuffed up our Houston trade and now stuffed up his own trade up the yellow brick road.
  13. We don’t want to see Gawn run into the ground before the insurance claim is activated. I don’t want to see our most viable big forward prospect wasting time chopping out for Max in every game. JVR has had little positive effect in the ruck and his development as a key forward has been compromised. Goodwin got lucky with the “unicorn” Jackson/Gawn combination and is trying to repeat history but failed to repeat it with Grundy and JVR.
  14. I respect your opinions and stoic defence of the club but what puzzles me you mostly only appear here when there is turbulence at the club like the old dark days and the now. I don’t recall you posting here at all during our premiership year and very rarely up until this disastrous season started falling apart. Why is it that you went missing in our greatest season for 6 decades?
  15. There ware stories from the past of some big name VFL players being let out of gaol to play on Saturdays.
  16. OK if Oliver stays what’s Petracca going to do?
  17. I hope that he insists in his contract that he is guaranteed at least several games next season. The fate of most of our recent ones has been to fester away in Casey purgatory. I wouldn’t mind seeing a genuine dual ruck combination playing for a change and leave JVR to play in his rightful position.
  18. No one knows what in his contract and his future intentions to honour it. Are there any sackable offences in footy? Last sacking I know of is of Campbell Brown getting sacked for clocking Steven May. But I doubt Brown was on big money then or know if his contract was payed out or just torn up.
  19. I remember the jubilation around here when we had signed up Tracc and Clarrie basically for life. Now it’s like an ugly nightmare that could make it impossible for us to attract and keep decent talent for the rest of the decade. Such is life.
  20. So what happened at the farm? I know farms have sheep and there might be some magic mushrooms growing in the hedge rows. Mysterious things can happen in isolated places. Could a callow type like Oliver be brainwashed to sell his soul to the cat cult?
  21. To get to this stage the club might have come to the realisation the Clarrie was a lost cause.
  22. And rezone it to residential so that it will be worth millions.
  23. SDK plus future Ist rounder. Let’s go for it if true.
  24. Best known as journeyman back up quarterback who won two Superbowls for Oakland Raiders when the preferred starting quarterbacks could not play during playoffs due to injury. Oops…wrong Jim Plunkett!
